Johnson was offered by the Hokies on September 24th, less than a week ago. He took an official visit to Virginia Tech last weekend.
Nash Williams of Florida HS Football evaluated Johnson at the Football University i350 combine at Oxbridge Academy on March 9th.
Standing in at around 6-foot-6, 285-pounds, Johnson is a monster. He is a ideal left tackle with his athleticism. I was extremely impressed with his long arms and range to keep the opposing defensive linemen at bay. Real good footwork also.
Aaron Perkins of HerdHaven notes that Johnson's senior season is his first year starting.
