I'm sure whatever he wanted is available for the taking. He earned it.

I cant imagine a more Frank Beamer thing than having that dog and naming him "Hank".

I hope that when they're playing fetch, Frank throws the ball and tells him, "get after it!"

"Go man go!"

Virginia Tech would walk right up to you and punch you in the neck. They're just tougher. Cowherd 3:16

Paulsy would have been even better

How do you know he calls everyone that? And I mean legitamitly how do you know that, because he calls everyone that. Lol.

It's come up on the boards before.

wtf does that even mean?

He calls everyone Palsy or Paulsy. Like hey Pal or "This is my pal Phil", except for he adds sy (pronounced zee on the end). I literally worked directly for him for an entire season and I was either Palsy or Manager. He did ask my name at first, and when I go back to school he remembers who I am, but if you weren't like Darryl Tapp or Macho Harris, or MV5, you got the Palsy label.

Its also literally in the Sports Illustrated article

Frank looked instantly more relieved and healthier at his retirement announcement. Glad to see him continue doing well.

I have no idea why my username is VT_Warthog.

Arkansas blew a 24-0 lead in the Belk Bowl.

I figured he would have named the dog BUD

He probably would have.....if he had gotten a Doberman.

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

He is probably saving that for his future pet Grizzly.

What a lucky dog! I kind of want to be that dog!

...whatever floats your boat, man

I see Frank's wearing the standard-issue White Sneakers for Retirees

Idk they got some stripes on em, look like Nikes

I just sit on my couch and b*tch. - HokieChemE2016

Nikes? Wonder how much they slipped him under the table to wear those out in public?

Have a leg.

I mean, I feel like every dad has had a pair of these...

I appreciate all the support, and I appreciate all the hate I am getting. I will continue to work as hard as I can to be the best I can be and bring this team a championship. Go Hokies ๐Ÿ” - Josh Jackson

I have two!

This is my shoe of choice. NB 623's. Great arch support.

I'm a dad and I promise to NEVER own a pair of those!

Let's Go

HOKIES

Good to see Frank and John still going on walks. And now Hank joins them.

They're good dogs bront

Was looking for this...not disappointed.

Is Hank a red beagle? He's adorable!

"Tajh Boyd over the middle . . . and it's caught for an interception! Michael Cole, lying flat on his back, ARE YOU KIDDING???"

'I tell ya what, Ol' Hank can get after some sticks.'

And, I would have to imagine, some chicks.

I've been cutting back on the drinking.

I'm a man! I'm 44! Hokie thru and thru.

one thing I will say is im disappointed by the lack of frank beamer ticket commercials in lane this year so far! I sure hope they have something up there sleeve but its almost to late to use it on this years ticket sales.

...That's what Maryland does.

I don't give a damn what the fans think cause, quite frankly, I know what the fans want better than they do.

Seen Coach Beamer last Saturday before the Game. Very cheerful and happy man. Always Frank Beamer. We as VT fans had a great man plus a Coach.

I just decided to post the first "Hank" gif I saw. Pretty happy with it...

I hope Coach Beamer is doing well, I guess its that sweatshirt hanging off of him but he looks mighty thin. Hopefully it has just been a healthy weight loss and he is taking care of himself. Just a random thought, but Frank was 52 during the 99 season.

Glad to see he finally got a new dog. It has been a couple of years since "Jock" died

Hank needs to hunt

Year 3 is coming up!

Veteran move by coach to walk a puppy around campus... Having a puppy on campus was like the OG version Tinder

My dad brought our runty Jack Russell with us on move-in day and would bring her back when he came to visit. That dog was the best wing man ever!

I got a puppy - rescued him from a shelter - my senior year. I made frequent trips to campus with him, making sure to hit all of the spots, like walking by Slusher beach and West AJ. The fact that I rescued him too made for an easy "awwwww" reaction when girls asked where I got him.... Best wingman ever.

I just read this in the SI article....

This summer, Beamer decided he wanted to get a dog. Cheryl told him she wanted no part of the purchase, but still he and Ballein researched breeds and settled on a Beagle-Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix. Hank the Beaglier was born in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Beamer made the six-hour drive to get him mid-summer.

Even in retirement, Frank owns the Cavaliers.
