When has a pair of brothers failed at Virginia Tech? What about a pair of local high school, identical twins? Fuck it, I am 1600% in on this. Let's go!

What he said! Let's go!

Krogering.

Tyrod did it Mikey, Tyrod did it!!

I believe a pair of local high school twins went to UVA in the past - the Barbers. Here's hoping the McDonalds have the same success but at VT

If only the Barbers had a better relationship with their dad, James Barber the former VT running back and roommate of Wing-T Quarterback partner Bruce Arians.

I cannot begin to speak on the matter, other than it saddens me that they went to UVA.

I am six years younger than the Barber twins, playing in their footsteps along the Cave Spring path from sandlot football to HS.

As a 4th grader, our rec coaches brought the twins in to speak to us about hard work and dedication at our football banquet. They were class acts even back in the day.

Fast forward to me being a senior in HS, and I ran into Tiki at Macados. He took time out of a meal with his family to talk to me, give me a signature or two, and to provide nothing but encouragement.

I can't imagine what it could have been like had he and Ronde came to VT.

If it ain't orange, it better be maroon...and if it ain't maroon, it better be soon!

Dwight was kind of a UVA fan. Maybe he planted the seeds when they were still playing little league for him.

Imagine the trick plays we can pull with identical twins! Welcome, Hokies!

Danny is always open

Hoping it works out similar to two former 3 star brothers who played together on the D. (Edmunds bros)

Tyrod did it Mikey, Tyrod did it!!

Really liking this. Go Hokies!

Awesome welcome to dbu

6'3" & 6'4" DBs....all I needed to hear...

Looking at their frames from the twitter videos they remind me of Richard Sherman

Football school, Women’s basketball school

I thought the pair of them more resembled Champ Bailey and Deion Sanders

lol... to be fair I just said frame, not talent or ability

Ah, as far as frame is concerned I'd think of them more like the two taller Edmunds brothers.

I love football on TV, shots of Gina Lee, hanging with my friends....AND TWINS

Here's to football

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

But if we fire the head coach do they stay committed?

Football is a lot like life, and you're going to have disappointments. The issue is how you come back from them.

Only one way to find out...

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Got to play Salem twice in high school regionals (07 and 08). Sophomore year lost 10-7...or 14-7, can't remember, but easily the largest crowd I ever played in front of. Salem Stadium was paaacked. Then my junior year...we got absolutely blasted that night, 35-0...then they went on to get blasted by Pulaski the week like 42-0...those scores are burnt into my memory for some reason.

All that to say, Salem is one hell of a football program, always extremely tight and fundamentally sound, and one I would've killed to have came up through. Glad to have them on board.

Amateur superstar and idiot extraordinaire.

Welcome to the Hokie Fam Jordan and Jaydon! This is exciting!

Is twitter really that big of a cesspool? I have never had an account so I am blissfully unaware of the activities that take place on said website.

Why do people use it so much if it is so toxic?

VT Twitter is why VT can't get elite recruits, according to the staff.

That's the most ludicrous crap I've ever heard.

Yes, tweeting negative messages at players, recruits, and coaches is stupid and should never happen. I don't understand it either.

BUT, maybe VT Twitter would not be so negative if the staff won (important) games, and thus, was able to recruit better. Putting that solely on Twitter content is not reality. Top talent coming here has been an issue for a long while that pre-dates Twitter's recent popularity with recruits.

The short answer...yes. Recommend you remain blissfully unaware.

Yikes. I had to abandon ship on Facebook so I imagine it is very similar.

Don't really know, I only hear stuff because I never saw value in social media so I have never used it. But my assumption and the early days of the internet, yes it's a shit show.

Anyone else read the title as "LOCAL BROTHELS COMMIT TO HOKIES?"

Not sure that I would want to go to a brothel that was local to Blacksburg.

That will be a title if Freeze is the next head coach.

Nope, can't say that I did. Although that reminded me of a funny story... One of our friends was getting married in Blacksburg. After the rehearsal dinner some of us went downtown (which is interesting in itself but the looks I got being 8 months pregnant--somebody had to DD--- were very amusing). One of our other friends and some friend of the groom got drunk and ended up wandering Christiansburg looking for pizza and prostitutes.

That's the kind of story you hope ends in disappointment because success carries far more unwanted consequences.

The search that they were on could have ended in disappointment even if the items were found....

But I think that the search ended up being not productive.

Well at least they didn't try the same thing in Radford

Yeah the pizza there is terrible

/s because I don't actually know their pizza scene

Can they coach?

This feels like a necro-post but the athletic department just announced the signings earlier today. Seems like a long time from commitment to signed. Class is up to 27 now.

Might have needed to confirm Admissions/numbers working out before sending the NLI?

Also, I thought I had read at some point that only one is a scholarship player and the other is a walk-on (no I don't know if that's true, or even which one is the scholly player.)

I mean if their parents are footing the bill it doesn't matter.

Not gonna lie when I saw this pop back up in the feed figured they were going to play somewhere else...
