God this makes me sick every time I read similar statements in the blogs.
This year especially was fun for me, because I felt like I learned the game of football the way its supposed to be learned, Thomas said. I picked up things about protections and stuff that I never even knew existed.
Classic story of "what could've been," he just needed the right coaching, system, and talent around him the whole time. Sad thing is, most of my Hokie peers around here will never give him credit for all the [good] VT records he smashed. I still don't think many will realize how much he'll be missed to start off in 2014.
I would love to know cfb's comments about his fifth year sr qb not learning any of this until this year. Aren't there learning goals at the skill positions that the coaches are responsible for? As an example, Learn to read the the de on the zone read!!
