o-line practice is going to be breaking rocks in the hot sun
just keep them away from robbing people with a six-gun and I'm good
There's gonna be a lot of Clash-ing in the trenches
The song was originally performed by the Bobby Fuller Four.
Looks like a solid in-state pick up. I like it
Looks like there's a new sheriff in town....I'll see myself out
Bayside High no less...well done
6-5 280... love that size. Taking a guess here that this was a guy who showed out in the spring and popped on some radars.
I hope that 280 is a typo. Photos of him make him look like he is more of a 6-5, 235 body type. Long and lean kid.
*EDIT just saw the video. He is 280. My mistake.
Different sources have him between 265-280. Assume the lighter side is DE, but 280 would make him a DT.
Either one would probably have him end up at DT if that's the high school weight.
Obviously, each recruit is a different person developing at a different rate, but most DE's who play at 265ish in college (like several past Clemson DE's) came in at a lower weight and then through S&C built up to it (Clelin Ferrell is a good example). Every once in awhile there's a Myles Murphy or someone who comes in fully developed and sort of just stays at that large DE weight in a 4-3, but usually 260+ in HS means you're going to end up a DT or a 3-4 End.
He has a big torso and long, lean limbs. It is a very interesting body type. He moves well.
I'll be happy wherever he ends up if he can play. Seems like an exciting pickup to me on the surface.
OT type?
Feel like an instate recruit should already know its not VTU
why does our fanbase have such an inferiority complex about this
I thought at one point the school was actively trying to change the official name to Virginia Tech or Virginia Tech University. I honestly don't know why it bothers people so much.
It makes no sense to me. What is wrong with VTU? I am always flabbergasted at the negative response.
Because any true Hokie would use VPI&SU! /s
Dis you?
We deserve all the ridicule for being this Charmin soft about the name of the school.
Reddit has numerous people doing the same thing, why?
Because people are stupid. It usually safer to assume they are until proven otherwise.
Probably uva trolls
You see how Coach Tapp does it above. He's doing it right.
Lay down the Law!
Welcome to Hokie Nation, Sir!
Like the frame, could be a diamond in the rough.
Looks like RB highilights in the Video π
DT to RB would be a novel transition, even for VT football
Could be speaking to the level of his competition, or could be our own new wild turkey...
IS he going to Play TE? DL?RB
He's not a QB so TE is out of the equation
Nice to see Tapp in the comments even though he's not on staff anymore. I imagine he had at least some contact with Lemar while he was
That's some nice height/weight and always good getting a 757 recruit.
Can't believe this kid is only 3*. Kid is huge! Has the measurables and plays nasty. Think he's going to be a sleeper pickup.
Probably hasn't been able to do a lot of camps with COVID. That has definitely changed the rankings for this cycle!
Agree. Maybe we should keep this one to ourselves π
