Glad to hear it, and props to him for overcoming so much adversity early on in life.

Well done, young man! You'll find a degree from VPI is worth its weight in gold

My degree is just a piece of paper, the heaviest paper is about 328 grams per square meter, my diploma is about 1/9th that size so lest say 40 grams, convert that to gold price and its worth about $2300.

I'd like to think I didn't spend $100k+ for something worth $2300, do I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's worth more.

This is the kind of over thinking the internet was made for.

Haha after I wrote that I knew this was coming...actually surprised it took so long. Take your leg.

1) I had to go research paper weights
B) I had up voted you comment days ago and then just happened to reread it now to realize what was said, so I'm just had at reading comprehension

What if you include the text books?

...then the math works.

We put the K in Kwality

The math always works...

MatLab?

Onward and upward

That's the only time math doesn't work

It takes work to get to the math empo....

His decision was made after a phone call with longtime Virginia Tech assistant coach Bud Foster. All Foster told him was, "We win. They don't."

Great news!

You love to see it!

Any chance he wants to put the pads on again? Awful thin in that DE room. In all seriousness, happy for Houshun.

Good to hear. Anyone know what he is studying? Without all the time required to do the football duties, I had wondered if he would change majors.

So glad to hear this. Welcome back home, my friend

Really happy for House.

From a selfish standpoint, it's a feather in the cap for recruiting. By itself, wouldn't move the needle for any individual recruit but looks good in the composite pitch.

Not that it's the important part here, but he's not returning to the football team is he?

Unless I'm mistaken, he's not. But the fact that he loves VT so much he wants to be a regular student is a good thing to pitch future recruits.

Good for him. Hope it works out

Smart move my dude. I would also like to know what he's is studying, any students catch him in class, let us know!

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

I would love for the team to keep him engaged, maybe even pick him up as a student assistant (assume he can't be a GA since he's an undergrad still?).

Love seeing this!
