Idk. Defense gassed at the end cuz the offense couldn't stay on the field. Offense managed 22 points (one more than I expected). This day in age, you just can't win by scoring only 3 tds. The rules and officiating favor offenses. It's extremely difficult to hold teams under 30. You need to be able to score 30 points to win most games. And in year 6 our offense "isn't built" to do that.

We fought hard. Truth is, looking at this team, we just lack real playmakers - we have Waller, Turner, and tavion. Who else is a bonified playmaker? Burmeister has quick wheels but is extremely inaccurate. I think we're squeezing g out about all we can get. So sure, let's fire all the coaches. All good. But the biggest issue is talent, and we lack it. The last real drives for both offenses sun up the difference. Their qb walked down the field and out qb whiffed and overthrew receivers.

I stayed up against my better judgement these past 2 seasons. It's 4:15am in London. I'm up and I watched 90%+ predictable plays on offense.

Losing Dax on what I thought was a questionable targeting call (I thought Dax lead with his shoulder) hurt. The announcers pointed out that the nd offense attacked whomever replaced Dax.

It was the correct call. Once again, like the ND player who ended up getting booted too, I do not think Dax was being outwardly malicious, but it was targeting. Right call. That's not what lost us this game. Look to obvious play calls all night against a team with much bigger and faster horses. Look to terrible game management not taking the field goal after a false start penalty early in the third.

Targeting is not an exclusive helmet-to-helmet penalty these days. Any forcible contact to the head of the opposing player can be reviewed for targeting, even if the contact is coming from the shoulder.

The rules and officiating favor offenses. It's extremely difficult to hold teams under 30. You need to be able to score 30 points to win most games. And in year 6 our offense "isn't built" to do that.

We fought hard. Truth is, looking at this team, we just lack real playmakers - we have Waller, Turner, and tavion. Who else is a bonified playmaker? Burmeister has quick wheels but is extremely inaccurate. I think we're squeezing g out about all we can get. So sure, let's fire all the coaches. All good. But the biggest issue is talent, and we lack it. The last real drives for both offenses sun up the difference. Their qb walked down the field and out qb whiffed and overthrew receivers.

Losing Dax on what I thought was a questionable targeting call (I thought Dax lead with his shoulder) hurt. The announcers pointed out that the nd offense attacked whomever replaced Dax.
I'm disappointed with the outcome but not with the players; I thought they continued to play their hearts out.
It was the correct call. Once again, like the ND player who ended up getting booted too, I do not think Dax was being outwardly malicious, but it was targeting. Right call. That's not what lost us this game. Look to obvious play calls all night against a team with much bigger and faster horses. Look to terrible game management not taking the field goal after a false start penalty early in the third.

Targeting is not an exclusive helmet-to-helmet penalty these days. Any forcible contact to the head of the opposing player can be reviewed for targeting, even if the contact is coming from the shoulder.
I understand the definition of targeting (not that I understand how it is applied). What I should have said is I thought Dax lead with his shoulder hitting the nd player in the clavicle area. I admit I'm not an expert in this area at all - just what I thought I saw through my O&M glasses. NTL, it was the call on the field and we have to live with it.
