Miami game recommendations

My wife surprised me with a trip down to Miami to see the Holies play. I'm looking for food recommendations, anyone know of a tailgate to stop at, other recommendations pre or post game? Thanks.

there's a Hokier-than-thou joke in here somewhere 😉

I was trying to figure out who the Holies were.

Now I get it.

Spelling will get after ya.

if you couldn't figure out that "Holies" was meant to be "Hokies" I guess it makes sense that you can't figure out the nuance of everyone talking about the 2.5 million instead of the full 10 million that you insist on arrogantly reminding everyone about.

Amateur superstar and idiot extraordinaire.

I'd suggest skipping the game and just doing something fun.

Wait, are you already predicting the Hokies take another L? Can't say I blame you...

I almost didn't post because of that. But I couldn't help pass up a Bart Homer Simpson gif

ummm...I'm pretty sure that's Homer. I don't think Bart is old enough to drink, even now 20 years later.

Good catch! Multi-tasking is not one of my best skills

Thanks to Larry David I know about spite stores and spite houses. Spite tickets is a new one. Kudos to your wife.

Central FL Hokies usually take a bus down from Orlando and set up a nice tailgate right outside the stadium. I believe you can purchase wristbands for food and drink with them. Feel free to reach out for details.

I don't have to take this abuse from you, I've got hundreds of people dying to abuse me.

They are doing bus and game but no tailgate this year. I'm flying down from Jacksonville Friday and back up Sunday.

Wet stuff on the red stuff.

Notre Dame doesn't play Miami this year.

Assuming you're staying somewhere in town I'd recommend looking at the Wynwood area for places to eat (edit: mandolin agean is somewhere we've eaten and enjoyed, without the kids). Easy to get to and walkable once you're there. Maybe Brickell too. Haven't been to Miami in a few years but the Standard Hotel used to be a great place to get a drink on the water. It's bayside but you don't have the hassle of beach traffic to deal with. SouthBeach traffic is hellacious on the weekends.

If you want to have a good time my best suggestion would be to not watch the game.

Go for it

Pane and Vino - Great Italian food. Always a stop for me and the wife in Miami.
