Cannot remember how many years ago now, but the Hoo QB got sandwiched between Dadi and Ekanum.
If Dadi has arrived a split second earlier, the UVa quarterback would have totally disintegrated and his vapor would have ascended out of Lane Stadium. I don know how he survived the impact as it was.

What a bunch of powder puff, pinky dislocating, brie sniffing, disappointments to the Commonwealth of Virginia. Can't ride a horse and we have ours running on treadmills.

There's a little-known legend after that game if you visit section 509 after sundown on Nov 23rd, you can hear an ass pocket still laughing his pocket off deep into the night.

Near the end of the game, my kid keeps asking me if the game's over. I tell him that he'll know when it's over. (I figured we'd all be yelling one way or the other.)
We get that fumble, and I pick him up and lift him pretty high in the air. He asks why I did that. I reminded him that he wanted to know when the game was over.

Cannot confirm nor deny that anyone did or did not participate in this or these actions prior to the beatdown on this day in 2005. #Hokiespic.twitter.com/zFfMA2dwks— Clark Ruhland (@Hokie20) November 19, 2021

In 1983, when Virginia Tech stomped Virginia 48-0 in Charlottesville, a group of Hokies hauled down the goal posts and proceeded to use the uprights as a battering ram against the door of the Tech locker room. (There's that Dark Ages thing again). Tech coach Bill Dooley was not amused. (UVa officials probably weren't, either. Usually it's the home team that does the honors.)
I was at this game my freshman year!

I remember that well. In '84 the yahoos, sadly, pulled out a last minute W in Lane. A number of spirited but sorely mistaken uva fans thought they would return the goalpost favor. The only thing between the hoo fans and our goalpost was the HokieBird. Our damn HokieBird dropped the first 4 or 5 fans leading their charge. The H-bird was quickly reinforced by a rowdy, defiant, and in at least one case very drunken, group of Hokie fans. An extended and good sized rumble ensued on the field with the sprinklers then turned on. I may or may not have been dragged out of the rumble and threaten by the state cops a couple of times, and a guy resembling me was photographed on the front page of the CT being jacked up by a trooper. Bottom line, our goalpost stayed intact without a yahoo fingerprint on them. My first uva game after graduating. God I HATE uva. F 'em all.

I went to the 38-0 Bro game in 2011 at Scott. I bought a soda at one point and realized it was a cup from the 2010 season. Attendance must have been so poor that they still had 1 year old cups in stock that they were still trying to get rid of at the end of the 2011 season.

Since today must be the 10th anniversary of 38-0, Facebook reminded me that 2011 was the year that uva made the video pleading for students to come to the game.
Maybe after making the video pleading for their students to come to the game, UVA should have made a video to encourage their players to get into the endzone.

Although I think he was nicer in that reply than I would have been.
I still remember the day I saw someone wearing a "Hoos for Hokies" t-shirt and it made me want to vomit a little. That's when I realized that enough time had passed.

Popped collars, Zima, softness, snobbery, thinking they rep VA, calling fresh-seniors 1st thru 4th year, ties at football games, Adventures of Cavman, auld Lang syne as a fight song, calling campus the "grounds", being told "my parents make more money than yours". I hate UVA.— Gobble Shots Tailgate (@TravisDye15) November 24, 2021
Although it's worse than he states, because that song they sing all the time that rips off Auld Lang Syne isn't even their fight song.

I absolutely loath people that talk about how their parents make more money. Like WTF0, you had nothing to do with that, all you did was drop out of some rich ladies vagina. Is that really your best accomplishment? You're gonna rest your accomplishments on something some one else did? I bet you think you're a self made man/woman too, it was just a small loan of more money than most people will ever have. Idiot was born on 3rd and thinks they hit a double.

Brought a UVA grad to a tailgate one time and all he wanted to discuss was creative ways to funnel traffic to his shitty LinkedIn account. Never again.— James Gayle (@JGayle99) November 24, 2021

My fondest memory was in 1990 - UVA had been ranked number 1 earlier in the year before losing to Georgia Tech. The administration thought that since the students were gone for Thanksgiving break, that they wouldn't need their tickets so they sold them to UVA fans. Needless to say the students were pissed and bleachers had to be set up behind the end zone to accommodate said students.
We curb stomped them 38-13 and rushed the field. I may or may not have been apart of bringing down the goal posts that day and may or may not have been a part of the group that carried an upright out of the stadium that day.
The best part was the T-shirts that were printed: #1 in the Nation #1 in the ACC #1 in Virginia
#1 in Charlottesville

Logan. Thomas. Block.
Despite all of the turmoil this season, I think this is one thing EVERY Hokie can agree on. Let's go!
HOKIES!!!
38-0 BRO
Every week is uva hate week if you're doing it right.
Sure, but this week, with no other opponent to worry about and Fuente gone, we can have all sorts of focus.
Hunter Carpenter would be disappointed in you.
Well, he did dedicate his career to hating UVa, but even he would like the idea of the focus to that ideal that this week provides for everyone else.
You're right, though. That guy was exceptional in his dedication to UVa hate.
Hate with a laser focus!

My pregame prediction in 2018 and being there to watch how it all unfolded!
This will always be my favorite moment:
If there is one thing to love about this football season it is UVA Hate Week.
Never, ever get's old!
What a bunch of powder puff, pinky dislocating, brie sniffing, disappointments to the Commonwealth of Virginia. Can't ride a horse and we have ours running on treadmills.
I'm still hoping we have a hatin' on Bronco.
I feel confident this site can support both.
Edit:
Ahhhh. I see that we've got both covered. All is right and good.

Since last year's game was so late in the year, I was driving back from my buddy's place signing Christmas carols with modified words.
It's really easy to change all of the words to Deck the Halls and Carol of the Bells to "uva sucks".
Good stuff.

That's easily the best Hokie Bird story I've heard
I hope Dax gets #25 this week, their fans already dislike him so an even more hyped Dax is what I'm hoping for
"Touchdown Tech! I've never enjoyed saying that more!"
Hahahaha
"James Drunkenmiller has engineered the greatest comeback I've ever seen!...
... What a throw, what a catch! And Holmes has tied the game!"
That's good stuff.
I've probably shared this story here before.

You can probably still get those...
I mean, they probably had to order a couple of thousand at the time to get a quantity discount on the cups.

Any and all James Gayle tweets roasting our children to the North 😂
Right on cue
oh my god
he STAYS dunkin' on em. What a legend
I aspire to one day reach James Gayle's level of hatred for UVA.
With apologies for the NSFW, still an all time favorite of mine:

VulUva: Proud Alma Mater of Jerry Falwell Jr.!
The way Matt Johns always sort of pranced around and swung his arm when he scrambled looked hilarious to me. The most dainty run I have ever seen.
He's a Hoo through and through.
They're all "WHO?"s amirite?
and Greg Stroman hitting him in bounds while the whole bench goes crazy wanting a flag. never gets old
Coolest legal hit ever.
"YOU!"
~Coach Fondue
Still get a kick out of this premature celebration.

Fun fact: my first game in Lane!
Plaid this immediately
Dear God it's beautiful 😍
Oh my god that is amazing.
GAME DAY!! Let's Go Hokies. Beat uva!! Please Please Please.
Those idiots don't even know where the game is, in person or on TV.
I appreciate the wishful thinking though.
Playing at Heinz would guarantee a VT loss.
For those of us without ACCN it's UVA and AACN hate week
