In my opinion the most ridiculous thing they said on there was #3, somehow our loss to Auburn in the Sugar Bowl started an SEC decade of dominance , they are really reaching for stupid reasons near the end of the list.. "ESPN would have gone on about their business without deciding they needed to go on a decade-long mea culpa to the SEC. But your failure in that game cemented not only Auburns undefeated season, but 10 years of suffering for every other conference in the nation."- So somehow us beating Auburn would have prevented Tebow and Meyer, Saban and Alabama and LSU and Auburn from winning all those titles... Highly Unlikely!
My only reply is that at least we put up a fight. We lost by 3 to a team that had a legitimate claim at going to the NC game that year. GT's only BCS experience has been being manhandled by Iowa in the '09 Orange Bowl.

Reason #1: Having two of the most dominant receivers in the NFL being GT alum, and still thinking that running the option was a better use of their talents while they were in Atlanta. D'oh!
Reason #2: Coach Paul Johnson's inability to do anything against a team that has longer than 7 days to prepare for his offense. You can knock Beamers' bowl record, but have you taken a look at CPJ's. D'oh!

This is laughably bad. I love how the video for #6 (Enter Sandman) is exactly the same clip that has been used for justification of us being awesome. These guys are really stretching for legitimate reasons to hate us. As has been mentioned a few times before, I'll give them a hand: Reason to hate VT #1: We beat the Jackets consistently, nearing UVA-levels of consistent beatings.
All I have to say is that I handed out so many turkey legs reading these responses. We should thank the author who wrote this for all the great entertainment.

Having a "rivalry" with GT is the cfb equivalent to drinking decaf coffee. It's nice to have if you're trying to wind-down after a big dinner.

I will give Ga Tech credit though, they cost us the chance to go to the ACC Championship game in 2006 & 2009. It would have been pretty tits to have won the Costal six years in a row.

If the games are continually hotly contested, it's a rivalry. Especially considering what's been at stake.

this is one of the dumbest things i have ever seen, plain and simple. i could list 100 reasons why.
- arent they 2-8 against us?
- what did they accomplish in those 2 seasons? losing to WAKE in the acccg and getting destroyed by iowa in the OB?
- do they even have a natl title? if they do, 1960 or whenever doesnt count
- do they think they would have fared better against auburn in 04?
- is VT really the cause of the SEC's success? does it not have something to do with the SEC?
- have they never had kids on their team who get in trouble with the law? what's the difference - that ours were actually GOOD so it got more attention?
- In addition to getting arrested, there are other things that our starting QBs do: win conf titles, get to the national title game, play in the NFL, beat GT, QB sneak for 16 yards repeatedly against GT, COMPLETE PASSES and umm...not transfer to other schools

They split with Colorado (should have won it outright, though) in 1990.
Then since they didn't play for a national title, our 1999 would be that same as a split with FSU, by GT's logic.
Not quite. None of the polls voted us #1 at the end of the year. GT did receive that honor from the Coaches' Poll.
Same thing happened to Miami (Coaches') and Washington (AP) the following season.
I have some family that are recent GT alums. They are your stereotypical internet tough guys. Talk a big game behind the light box, but in person are totally different.
