Blue had a 1000 yard plus season in 2019, but saw a drop of production in 2020 and 2021. He was one of the first reported Brent Pry transfer portal offers.

Ha! He tagged Bowen as well. Another transfer for a position of need.

oh good, he can run a jet sweep - but wait, they don't run it to the short side of the field.

Just messing with everyone, actually looks like three strong pick ups in a row. Feeling better about this team everyday which is a strange new feeling for us Hokies.

This short highlight film here featured quite a bit of willingness to catch routes over the middle 1/3 of the field, an area we haven't exploited much in recent years. Some very impressive catches and YAC in this short video.

A good QB AND a good receiver? At the same time?

Is that even allowed?

If it is, how come we didn't think of this last year?

This is an amazing strategy that Pry is putting together.

Identifying needs and attempting to reshape this roster through the portal. Liking that the new staff is utilizing the portal to hopefully speed up the rebuild.

To quote the Brothers Osborne: "I'm Good For Some But I'm Not For Everyone"

I bet every coach that takes over a rebuild loves the portal. Get game ready guys immediately so you can at least be mediocre while you reshape the program.

All of the colors! Now we can have Chance Black in the backfield alongside Jason Brown with Jadan Blue in motion on the jet sweep.

Huge get in a position of need. Very excited. Curious about the explanation for the massive dip in production last two years though. A QB injury/change was mentioned above, and it seems their aerial attack was anemic (threw for only 2k yards in 2021, 1.4k in 2020 (!!)) but Our Boy Blue also dropped from #1 receiver to 5th.

It definitely seems like the QB injury was huge, plus moved away from a passing heavy offense in 2021 in general.

Barring some kind of injury, it's difficult to believe that a 1000 yard receiver suddenly becomes a sub 200 yard receiver without the circumstances around him shifting.

My guess, without watching film, was the second QB was not able make some key throws. Lacked either the arm strength and ball velocity to put it in gaps in a zone or the touch to connect on deep balls, so they shifty some corny offense.

Sometimes we live no particular way but our own

Temple's last 3 years:
2019 8-5
2020 1-6
2021 3-9 Avg 8.4 pts a game over their last 7 games.

The offense just sucked.

Interesting strategy by our new staff to actually target needs instead of going after more running backs. I like it!
