Darren Buchanan was also named the player of the year. The two commits, Buchanan and Rice, were both first team selections. Hopeful Hokie flip Tyrell Ward named to the second team.

This is exciting for the future of men's hoops-we're getting two ballers. All met honors are no joke-that's a very competitive basketball area.
That's awesome, especially hearing about Buchanan being POY. It's pretty crazy that he doesn't even have a ranking on 247 yet but is doing stuff like that.
These guys are definitely the future of the program buchanan looks like he might be ready day 1.

Keep the NCAAT streak alive! Minutes will be available as I think Mike Young will keep with the heavier rotation of players instead of starters seeing 36 minutes.
Buchannon will need some time in the oven. But super exciting. Rice shoud get some minutes- he's potentially one of the only guys on the roster that can get his own shot at anytime. The ACC is a different beast though
I'd expect him to get somewhere between the Pedulla and Maddox minutes.
He's good, but he will need time to develop.
