I think milk tastes disgusting, and I also think it's weird for adults to drink milk. It's a fluid created by another animal to nurse their youth. You're literally an adult eating baby food.
Gives me the shakes (and stomach cramps) just thinking about it.

Humans are also the only animal on the planet smart enough to "harvest" said "food". If there is nutritional value in something, why shouldn't it be consumed if you enjoy it?

I found the lactose intolerant guy who is just jealous of all the genetically more advanced people who have evolved to be able to consume milk without consequence

I stopped drinking milk when I was around middle school age, just because I didn't like it. I think that by not consuming dairy for years, I did develop some lactose intolerance, but I don't feel like there's any food that I like that I can't eat. After 4 slices of pizza my stomach hurts, but do I really need to be eating 4 slices of pizza? Not really.
I'm also pretty surprised by the blowback. I purchased milk for the first time as an adult a few months ago when my kid turned 1. I've polled my friends - the only use for milk they have is cereal and milk.
I maintain my stance that it's weird for adults to just drink a glass of milk.

think that by not consuming dairy for years, I did develop some lactose intolerance
I learned in my teen years that it is not uncommon for people to become lactose intolerant later in life, often beginning in their adolescence. As a huge fan of all things dairy, I was less than enthused. I also learned that (thankfully for me) many people lose this intolerance afterwards as in my early twenties I no longer had any problems.

My comment was about drinking a glass of 'raw' cow's milk, which I think is weird for an adult, but to answer your question:
Cheese - There are some places it's good, but it's not must have for me. To me, cheese is somewhere between 'woof' and 'fine' depending on the dish/how it's served.
Pancakes - they're fine. Not great. They're mostly a vehicle for maple syrup.
Ice cream - It's good, but not my favorite. When I go to a gourmet ice cream shop, I usually get an espresso ice cream and a dark chocolate. Often times these are dairy free. Savory >>> Sweet
Mashed potatoes - I don't understand why anyone would want to eat potatoes that aren't fried. Fried potatoes are undefeated. Fried potatoes are better than Nick Saban. Fried potatoes have played AND BEATEN everyone pawwlll. I don't see a need to mash potatoes when you can fry them.
My ideal meal is a big piece of meat/fish (it can be smoked, grilled, baked, fried, braised, poached, etc), a fried starch (potato, yuka, etc), and a green veggie (preferably cooked in bacon fat). Paired with coffee if it's breakfast, water if it's lunch, and beer/bourbon if it's dinner. I don't really need anything else.

Same here, SoupHokie.
I like a tall cold glass of milk.
Besides all the cooking uses plus use in cereal (hot and cold), hot beverages (coffee, tea, latte', hot chocolate), butter, cheese and various desserts and baked goods, there are foods which seem to be enhanced with milk.
As a flavor professional (Hey VT Food Science people that I know haunt these pages) there are significant number of flavor substances properly dissolved in fat, as well, as others best put into solution in water.
Guess what, proper milk has both. Fats and water work to put these soluble items into best use as an enhancement to flavors. All the glory of a fine peanut butter sandwich, oreos, grandmom's oatmeal or chocolate chip cookies are lost without milk.
This leads me to ask. Why do you hate grandmoms, you milk deniers you.

Mike Elko is disappointed that Nicole came and went before the game. He was really looking forward to making VT stand in the rain to watch their team give up yet another 4th quarter lead and lose in embarrassing fashion in sleepy Wallace Wade.

How else does one eat brownies or Oreos? Are you people savages?
I'm very confused by the recent "people shouldn't drink milk / judging others for drinking milk" movement.
Milk is delicious and nutritious.
I think milk tastes disgusting, and I also think it's weird for adults to drink milk. It's a fluid created by another animal to nurse their youth. You're literally an adult eating baby food.

Not really - it's definitely not common, but here are some other animals that 'farm'.
I also enjoy honey and cheese and yogurt and wine and beer
I like honey, wine, and beer. Cheese is fine situationally, but I'm not a wine/cheese guy (it's also a very UVA dish).

without milk we wouldn't have this great cinematic quote:

Can't argue this logic
More important, without milk we would not have that essential to happiness 5th food group.
I guess you don't like any cheese, or products that use milk like pancakes, ice cream, mashed potatoes, anything with butter etc?
