If you haven't watched his hudl this guy hits people as hard as Kam (just ignore the flags coming from everywhere after a few of his highlights)
https://www.hudl.com/video/3/9325707/631682cf5caa590570cc6868
Decapitates a kid with a launch at at 7sec (flag)
Kills a kid at 34 sec (flag but probably shouldn't have been)
Knocks a kids soul free from his body 44sec
Has the opportunity to introduce the wr to jesus, takes the pick 48 sec
Breaks a kids seternum 1:02
WR didn't watch the tape tried to catch ball over middle - dies 1:30
Rest of tape - catch TDs
Incredible summary
Kind of hoping for less flags as a Hokie.
Less procedural flags, I'll take a "I hit the guy too hard flag"
Procedural generally don't always include a free first down.
Hardly call those first downs free, they traded a WRs life. /s
Yes I understand what you're saying but having a safety that's going to lay the boom and put his body on the line is big. If he can play under control he'll be just fine.
Looks like he's going to cause a lot of frustration going for the truck stick hits, but he's also gonna be a guy that you want on your side if he develops into a player.
I mean its from one tape so I don't really know but he finds the ball first in all of his clips. The opposing qbs could have been booked for conspiracy to commit murder for some of those passes but he made a play on the ball when possible and killed people when not.
Looking forward to WRs dropping passes hearing footsteps from all his massive hits.
He hits so hard, 247 is afraid to give him a rating, lol.
(don't know if he can cover but it's the most physical HS tape I've ever seen)
Thought the same exact thing.
This guy would have been AllPro 25 years ago. Now I'm not sure he'll finish half the games. I'm definitely glad he's playing with us and not against us!
Something that I, an amateur film eater at best, noticed is he seems to high point the ball really well, on both sides of the ball. The PBU and TD catch at 2:01 and 2:19 seem to show good "go up and get" ability, which is great.
Also. He hits the dick outta people.
Like this pick up a lot
Must have been well-coached as a DB. Most DBs aren't even coached to be facing the ball anymore, which used to be fundamental element of playing the position, along with high-pointing the ball. So if Mose can lay the lumber and play like a ball-hawking center fielder (see Ed Reed), we'll have something here.
Welcome aboard, Mose!

Another Nashville kid this cycle - love it!
This is what I like to see at the safety position. Make the receivers scared to even come across the middle.
Like the quote from Hitchcock in Shoresy: "Hit 'em enough and they'll stop going where ya gets hit."
It'll be good to have opposing receivers wanting to look over their shoulders for him as they're catching the ball and not focusing on bringing the ball in they're so scared of being a lifeless husk a split second after catching the ball.
Mose...now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time...
Kid laying the wood and playing center field like he's Brian Dawkins.
I'm excited.
Definitely high points the ball well with him being used at receiver on fades. Clearly Mose knows how to use the truck stick.
Let's get this kid an NIL from the Blacksburg Lumber Company
And some Carol Lee's!
