This was from 8/11, so a lot of these tidbits have already circulated the medias. Here are my takeaways:
- Feels like we're more efficient and more "squared away" than at this point last year.
- Wants both QBs to throw more consistently. Thinks they both have had good weeks.
- Tuten has "a minor deal." Getting quality reps and then backing off to keep him healthy.
- Team blocking looks better and we're more aggressive on OL. They're keeping the weight up through camp.
- Wright has a "little strain"
- Sounds like Stone wasn't making the depth chart and decided to move on. Pry says, "I'm not going to say I'm not a little disappointed. Fortunately we're in a good position there."
- Turnovers were a huge focus. Added a bunch of new drills to help create turnovers.
- Wants players not playing it as safe in practice in terms of turnovers. See players going to a tackle when they have a chance at the ball
- Benji looking good, wants him to be tougher in the trenches. Overall the TE room is more physical this year.
- Challenging CBs to be better tacklers to avoid big runs.
- A few things Pry has talked about throughout camp make me feel good about the new sports science and nutrition programs.
I'm pretty anti-visor, but I guess I'll give Pry a pass.
