2023 Pick Six - Week 12

Week 11 Recap

GawwwDAMMIT, Kansas!

The race at the top has Harrinpa thanking the football gods for Iowa State for keeping first place as a 1-5 result was just enough to stay ahead of TUG. Griggsy, Soup, Nerf, and Benw are giving it everything to keep it interesting heading into the last few weeks.

And yes, there will be a Pick Six next week. I'm traveling to Illinois but expect to get it posted sometime Tuesday evening/early Wednesday.

WEEK 12 GAMES

(9) Louie, Louie at Gotta Go (Lou -6.5)
Miami's stadium is the least annoying part of this game

(22) UNCheat at VerKlempt, son (Clem -6.5)
Yes, I had to double-check that unranked, only-beaten-1-team-with-a-pulse Clemson is favored by a touchdown. Vegas really believes in that home field advantage which you can't tell me is very rowdy at this point in a (currently) 4-loss campaign. They thought they were gonna get a national championship again this year (because they believe this every year).

(1) Jawrja at (21) Hyuck Orange (GA -10.5)
Georgia is the only SEC team without a chicken shit opponent this week...

Scat at Chickenshit (KY -1.5)
...which is how this game made the cut.

(7) 'Horns at "WE'VE GOT COWS!" (TX -7.5)

(5) HUSKY MENS at (10) BEAVERS (OSU -0.5)
I told my wife her Oregon State alum friend's Beavers' ranked 10th in the nation, and she kicked me out.

SUMMARY

(9) Louisville at Miami (Lou -6.5)
(22) UNCheat at Clemson (Clem (-6.5)
(1) Georgia at (21) Tennessee (GA -10.5)
Kentucky at South Carolina (KY -1.5)
(7) Texas at Iowa State (TX -7.5)
(5) Washington at (10) Oregon State (OSU -0.5)

Also, Wawa isn't offering the Sweet Potato Gobbler Bowls this year and I'm rather annoyed because it's one of the few things I really consider a no-stress-involved treat this time of year.

But, have you heard has pizza?

I'm not a Fighting Pizza. I'm a Fighting Gobbler 😁

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Does that look like spit to you?

I'm not paying sixteen bucks for a convenient store pizza.

Did you make the link go to standings this week just so I'm more embarassed?

(add if applicable) /s

Yup. Totally on purpose.

Kansas...already hated you a little bit. Ugly unis, big bowl game a few years ago, and this past Saturday when you Miami'd it. Big time. Suck on a wet fart.

Bourbon!!!! That sweet sweet nectar. Saturday is my daughter's birthday, so this single cask 8 year Buffalo Trace should be very tasty Saturday night.

This weeks episode of "Picksburg" is rated MA, for Mature Audiences only...........Sins and debauchery have taken over the town, the Cardinal is caught drinking Hurricanes from the communal cup but he does not get drunk enough to turn over his chains. Local ranchers are getting drunk on cyclones made with ethanol which would have caused them to go blind if a stampede of longs horns had not destroyed the vats. Over at the zoo, Old Mack Brown sneaks into the tiger's cage looking to chop off parts to create potion that will "enhance his performance" only to be be mauled and tossed onto the tar roof. An innocent volunteer from the rescue shelter takes home what appears to be a docile, defenseless bulldog only to find out it has an uggaly streak humping everything in site and attacking anything in orange. Meanwhile at the strip club outside of town, Husky tools are being used to shave beavers while out back people are gambling on fights between wild cats and game cocks. The cocks take a beating but stiffen up to finally win.

As I am doing horrible this year, I am not sure you want to mirror my selections. :)

Yeah didn't intentionally mirror them but did notice our picks were the same.

I am guessing there will be a lot of similar picks this week. I found this week to be the easiest to decide. Most seemed pretty obvious but what do I know 🤷🏻

This week feels very chalky

When it feels that way to me, it usually ends up as pure chaos. Which can be entertaining, at least.

Louisville line has moved down to -1.....quite fishy. Not sure if it's a rat line cause public saw Miami play fsu last week and keep it close but hasn't watched Miami the rest of the year or if Vegas knows something

THIS is what the NCAA should be investigating. Miami lines moving 5.5 points in 2 days???? Hmmmm.

Either that or it was a typo; I'm not seeing 6.5 anywhere from earlier in the week

Yeah, guess it was. We picked it at -1.5 on CBS.

I'm not certain either. Usually I screenshot the CBS page to help me make the post but I can't find it on my phone.

We do default to the CBS site in the event that I fuck up though.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Prob just a keypad fat finger mistake. The cbs site had us pick8ng at -1.5. They don't change it during the week...everyone pucks at the same odds.

(9) Louisville at Miami (Lou -6.5) - VT ACC champs
(22) UNCheat at Clemson (Clem (-6.5) - VT ACC champs
(1) Georgia at (21) Tennessee (GA -10.5) - Georgia deathstar has activated
Kentucky at South Carolina (KY -1.5) - There's a joke about cats and roosters to be made here, but I will spare everyone.
(7) Texas at Iowa State (TX -7.5) - Don't like the hook, but still don't trust an Iowa school to score points.
(5) Washington at (10) Oregon State (OSU -0.5) - I do not feel good about this pick. As the spread suggests this game could go either way.

Get excited, I finally got a finished model made last night. I might add a couple details in and let the winner decide the color of the horse, but at a minimum this is 2023 TKP Pick 6 Trophy:

9) Louisville at Miami (Lou -6.5)
(22) UNCheat at Clemson (Clem (-6.5)
(1) Georgia at (21) Tennessee (GA -10.5)
Kentucky at South Carolina (KY -1.5)
(7) Texas at Iowa State (TX -7.5)
(5) Washington at (10) Oregon State (OSU -0.5)

6-0...don't call it a come back!

25th place and 10 picks off the lead, right where I want to be
