NIL done right

I hadn't heard of this story before today, but check out Aiden Shaw at Missouri. He is using his NIL money to create scholarships to award to high school students to further their education.

This is awesome to see.

The scholarships will be funded from Shaw's NIL earnings, which include multiple merchandise lines for men, women and kids that he sells on his own website.

"I don't have to wait until I go to the NBA or get that type of money to give back," Shaw told ABC-Kansas City. "I feel like I can just give to the future. Just in general, giving back is incorporated into what I know."

What a great thing to do. Kudos to this young man.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

I was hoping this was going to be a catch all spot for poorly scripted regional car dealership, HVAC, roofing, furniture company, and restaurant commercials featuring NCAA athletes.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Not to mention if he funds it correctly, he is donating enough to negate his taxes.
