I thought the kid was small, inaccurate and not fast. I was not impressed at all with him- he looked like what he was- a juco QB. Him slicing up a VT defense doesn't impress me and i'm being serious. His downfield throws were either wide open or inaccurate, and he didn't make people miss so much as he just ran past a washed out VT LB...we've seen that a million times. I honestly thought he would be better than he was. I saw a G5/juco small kid getting open yards at critical times- yay- VT defense for you.
For the most part I agree. His TD pass in the first half was a really good throw. Should have been broken up, but he couldn't have placed it any better than he did.
Just because we couldn't stop him, is that supposed to make it less true?

But he's right, VT should have been able to stop him.
He just caught VT with a slow defense, and apparently an inability to count zeros on the field on special teams.
We lost because our coaching staff was stupid enough to put two players with the same jersey number on the field at a key time, and because our offense scored 3 points in the first 30 minutes.
We did not lose because Diego Pavel was "unstoppable."
The funny part is that the actual quote was complimentary of Pavia, but good on them for turning it into bulletin board material.

Overtime rules are basically a coin toss.
But sure, our defense didn't stop him, and our offense wasn't strong enough with our backup quarterback to score on three downs (I have no idea why the coaches put Drones back in for one play just to prove he was still injured, other than to keep our own offense confused).
To be fair, Drones might have wanted the shot and convinced the coaches to let him try. They should have been grownups and told him no, but this sort of thing isn't uncommon in football.

I mean literally we just needed one stop at the end of the game and we don't hear any of this shit. He barely did enough to beat us even when we played like complete ass start to finish.
So while he can talk his shit, what he did wasn't that impressive. When I watched the game in real time, I admit I thought Vanderbilt was much improved and could steal a few SEC games this year. And that we're still a good team, we just came out slow. After a rewatch I've totally flipped that opinion. Neither of these teams are any good. Any theory of us taking the next step this year required huge improvement during the offseason and we looked exactly the same. Opposing teams are going to carve Vandy up in the passing game and feast on that offensive line.
I am not planning on re-watching. I hope Vandy does much better than expected. I want the second half Tech for the rest of the season.
All of these comments, if they become fact, bodes VERY badly for VT.
This makes me sad.
