Get into the coaching mind of Buzz Williams

Found this series of videos on YouTube that was created by Marquette. They are fantastic, to be honest.

Buzz on how he handles recruiting and what he focuses on:

Marquette Basketball: Revealed

I have to admit, I am getting incredibly excited for the future of not only Virginia Tech men's basketball, but the entirety of the Virginia Tech athletic department. The kind of experience and outside thinking and understanding of what it takes to have a top program will pay dividends not only while he is here, but long after, and it will spread to all our other programs. This is a new era, fellow Hokies. Enjoy the ride.

These are sweet, thanks for posting

Not the bagman VT deserves, but the bagman VT needs right now.

Watched these earlier this morning... Really gives you a good idea of what this guy is all about. #DopeDude

Minority Report.

Hey Baby! Going for a ride!!

Pain is Temporary, Chicks Dig Scars
Glory is Forever, Let's Go Hokies!!

I watched those last week, shortly after Johnson was released and the whispers began about Buzz being open to conversation. I think there are 16 segments, so prepare for about two hours of video. I would also recommend the YouTube clips featuring an interview with Buzz by George Raveling. There are five of those, worth about 30 minutes of time.

I've watched about 6-8 hours of video on Buzz and read countless articles concerning him. I find all of it encouraging. The man works... HARD, and he expects everyone involved to be fully engaged. His results have proven his methods create successful W/L records and successful young men. He is NOT for the faint of heart. We are fortunate to have him.

I agree... I think from these you can't easily imagine him flipping out over a phone going off in a meeting. He is an extremely passionate guy who tends to give everything he has to his program and expects the same commitment from his guys.

Minority Report.

The fourth one is my favorite because it shows how much Buzz sweated during the game, getting back to the comment from his assistant coach about how his clothes always have to go to the dry cleaners after the game. He puts in work.

Looking at the bootcamp video it reminds me of the fb team's 6am workouts.

I was about to post these too, I'm on episode 15 right now

Outside it's night time, but inside it's LeDay

If nothing else, you learn from these videos that our Head Basketball Coach has a tattoo of Mickey Mouse dribbling a basketball on his right shoulder. #winning
