This is James Franklin F5 season why are you posting during this trying time?
How in the fuck can we not keep LBs in the boat when anyone that can put their helmet on straight ought to be day 1 starters
I mean you can't blame anyone that's going to flip while there's no coach and a lot of uncertainty for next year
Don't trifle me with things I forgot about in the heat of the moment! /s
i'm sure there were a few Benjamin's involved as well
"Pittman"? ......shoulda seen that one coming.
Yeah, the name checks out.
Verbal "commits" are worthless anymore, even as an unofficial indication. Richard Marx was right ("It don't mean nuthin' till you sign it on the dotted line...").
They haven't been worth anything for at least 20 years. Probably longer. The last time I got excited about a commit was when Kevin Jones announced.
It's pronounced, "Jones".
I'm only 35 but... was there ever a time where verbals meant something?
Nope
1973
Never saw that particular Schoolhouse Rock episode-kinda has that "Good Times" vibe to it lol.
Well my verbal score on the SAT went from 520 in 7th grade to 580 in 9th grade to 660 in 11th grade-that xmeant something to me....
They changed the score between my 7th grade SAT and my 11th? grade asking of the test so I don't know how how they compare. I also don't know my scores any more.
I'm old so it was always the 1600(800 math/800 verbal) for my scholastic career. Total was 1010 in 7th grade, 1200 in 9th, and 1420 in 11th. Stopped taking it then cause that plus grades would've gotten me in anywhere I wanted to go.(Only actually applied to VT(2 sisters attending already), Duke(dad's alma mater), William and Mary (non-fulltime ROTC), and USAF Air Force Academy(dad was career USAF). Got into all (including the congresSional nomination for the academy and passed fitness and flight physical) but ended up choosing VT.
Can't put names and faces together to save my life...but NUMBERS stick in my head!!
From what I know of Nard's recruiting tactics, he probably told Pittman he still wants him but they've only got 1 linebacker spot left and some other recruit might take it any day now. When in fact they're gonna take 3-5 or more LBs.
Plus, Pitt is trending up and VT is in a another reboot.
He isn't a take for Franklin.
