Brandon will be transferring somewhere near his mother who is battling cancer in California. Prayers go out to Brandon's family and friends. For Duke, this loss hurts as he was the all time school leader in rushing TDs. Boone and him complemented each other greatly.

I was thrilled when I originally read the "Brandon Connette Transferring" part. Once I read the "Mother Has Cancer" part, connected dots and gained respect for Mr. Connette. Family First. RESPECT GAINED
Tough to see that. I wish the man the best in his future. It's tough to see a loved one battling cancer. It's tougher when you aren't in the same town, let alone state, to be with them. I fully respect his decision.
Damn. The Dookies will definitely miss him. Hell of a competitor.
