Five-Year Record: 21-40. Average 2013 attendance: 46,279. Stadium capacity: 61,500.
It's kind of astounding that the answer here isn't Duke -- I suppose that fact alone lends hope to every team on this list -- but Virginia, under once-coveted coach Mike London, has been more consistently mediocre for a longer period of time than any of the other conference schools whose fan bases traditionally only get excited about recruiting power forwards. Virginia did sign three five-star recruits in the offseason, but it's not impossible to imagine the Cavaliers' only two wins this season coming against Richmond and Kent State, and even those are not locks. Where art thou, Moore to Moore?

It would suck if UVA and Mike London give up football. Then VT would have to find another neighbor to beat down annually. I enjoy beating LOLUVA too much to ask them to quit football.

How is Scott Stadium averaging around 60% attendance? The stadium (assuming they include the lawn seating) never looks that full.

Generally speaking, the moment one aligns with LOLUVA football is the moment one willingly forfeits all hope.
It really is amazing just how ineffective they remain in football. Frankly, they've underperformed in hoops until this past season as well, but that's another thread. For all their sputtering about rigid academics being a hurdle, the one word response I always use is - Stanford. I really do enjoy watching us beat them down every fall. It will never become boring to me, I like that win as much as any on our schedule each year.
It amazes me that every time we laugh at their football program in any way, they resort to their 20-something national championships in sports that no one really cares about, well at least when it comes to popularity and tv ratings.
I'll take one football national championship over any other sport, no matter how many.
