What I learned today: The Hokie Bird has a lot in common with a cat.

  1. Takes, but never gives.
  2. Pushes buttons he has no use for.
  3. Can tolerate cold, but is still probably going to curl up on the couch and complain about it.
  4. Can be found on camera doing things not normally done in public.
  5. Gets up on furniture he should no full well he's not allowed on.

Still corny as hell, but at least it appears they've put more than 15 seconds of video editing into it, so its an improvement over the past.

At least they are trying to do more social media outreach. It seems that over the last year, they've really tried to improve their game in that area.

I think it was supposed to be corny.
Remember, this has to appeal to everyone and be seen by ages 3-99. This is not targeted at college kids.
BTW, my girls that it was great and exciting just seeing the Hokie Bird on YouTube.
For what it needs, to be, I think it was a success.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Agreed, and its definitely for kids.

I'm just saying, even with its overwhelming corniness, its still an improvement over what we have been putting out in the past.

The only thing that they could have done to improve it would have been to have CFB chase the Hokie Bird around the office a couple of times in double speed video with cartoon music in the background before booting him (literally) out.

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.
