UVA loses top '14 signee

This is about a week or so late but I didn't find out about this till today and haven't seen it on TKP so I'll post it.

Jeff Farrar who signed with UVA in February as part of the class of '14 will instead enroll at Washing State University, closer to his home in California.

This is a big blow for UVA since he was their 3rd - 5th best recruit in their class depending on the website. ESPN had him as a 4 star and in their ESPN300 rankings. His offer list speaks for it self having offers from UCLA, Michigan State, etc.
I've linked the article below but sounds like it could've been grades.

YOU!!!

I thought that was the guy.

Wise choice , intelligent kid , stay as far from youva as possible!

He made a wise choice. I wouldn't want to play for coach fondue either.

Why would he travel all the way across the country to play at UVA?

Sounds like he did It on a dare.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Will the last man out of Scott Stadium please close the lid on the dumpster?

Mike London has changed a lot since last season

Virginia Tech School of Architecture Class of 2014
Fan of Hokies, Ravens, NY Giants, Orioles

Tell me about it.

He started wearing tube socks.

He started wearing socks at all.

Meanwhile, back at TheSabre...

He was the recruit that London sent the you letter to right?

In Sam Rogers we trust.

This kind of thing happens in college football but the kid is smart enough to see a sinking ship from far away. I cant blame him on this decision.

nawwwww just right

Taylor, looking desperately throws it deep..HAS A MAN OPEN DANNY COALE WITH A CATCH ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FIVE!!!!....hes still open

I mean, I feel like the real question is why did he want to go to UVA in the first place?

Like...

"Hey, I'm going to travel all the way across the country to play for a team that is perennially terrible and is swirling the drain for a coach who is probably going to get fired."

Because, for all the douchness of it, it's a great place to pinch a loaf.

There are a few deep pockets that are friendly with the UVa athletic dept right now... Just sayin

that thought is hilarious. Imagine a recruit accepting all sorts of under the table payments from a UVA bagman only to bail. It's not like they could go after him legally for it without exposing themselves...bad choice of words

Hmmmm

Virginia Tech would walk right up to you and punch you in the neck. They're just tougher. Cowherd 3:16

Well, his backup plan is to go to The Paloose and play for Mike Leach.

Decision making may not be his thing.

So if I'm reading this right, he was denied admission to UVA? How else could he have gotten out of his letter of intent?

Reality has a mighty pimp hand.

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Grant Wells, Braxton Burmeister, Ryan Willis, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

Those Cougars will get after ya

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

Best comment on the WSU site, on guy commens "U MAD UVA?"

The next guy responds "Not until we start flipping their lacrosse recruits. We do that and theyll be boatshoe-throwing mad."

Go Hokies and Philly Sports

I think I could make some friends over there.

Great news, I bet the cop started looking for a ref to yell at when he heard this news. LOLUVA
