This win was new boobies, old bourbon, and not getting ripped off buying a decent and hopefully dependable new car all baked into one incredible cake that we needed to eat like no team has ever needed a cake. I'm not even sure this is an overreaction, either. Everyone knows our struggles, everyone knows the kool aid that ESPN was helping the nation drink coming into the Colombus last night. Only a few people started putting salt in their drinks starting yesterday, paving the way for maybe-a-win. Maybe a close game. Well they keep saying that close only counts in horse, shoes, and hand grenades, right?
We brought our own horse, he was on a treadmill, and they didn't have anything close to matching it. We walked into their Shoe, then we ran a mile over it, leaving them jumping up and down on one foot hollering in the back ground while we crossed that finishing goal line. Again, wasn't close. And hand grenades? After that pass Brewer through around the sidelines to Sam Rogers for a much needed first down, I am not concerned about the threat of grenades from the hands of mortals. Not even close.
That said, it was a close game for longer than it needed to be. Ohio State definitely had me mentioning some angina to my friends in the fourth quarter. Of course, Sam Rogers must have over heard and misheard me, because he promptly was not denied. Thank you, sir.

Like I said, not sure its an overreaction. Not sure you can overreact to this win.
I can't wait to see the narrative cartwheels ESPN starts doing to fit this into their plan for the season.
It all depends on ECU. And PITT. And I said to the wife, "we could be winning by a lot more right now" sometime in the 3rd I think, with all the mistakes we were making but already showing 21.
Around the sidelines?
Is that Michael Brewer?
No, but I noticed the resemblance when the ad got to this part. And it played during the game a couple times.
WOW.my head hurts. BUT I'm good with it!
closeness counts in bocce ball too right??? Bocce is Italian for a fully dipped Hokie Squad going into a hornet's nest with the crowd, the size, the national spotlight, the OSU streaks, the youth of our offense, the nay-sayers all over the media, etc and to take them to the woodshed. The whole nation now knows "who's your Dadi" and Maddy and what Brewer to buy your suds from and finally that Captain America's son plays for us......We are Va Tech & we Ut Prosim every freaking single day.....At least today in NCAAF we sit at the head of the table....
Well said TMG!
You talk purtier than a bowtied Wahoo!
Just imagine this team with another year of youth tacked onto the years of youth we already have.
I enjoyed rewatching this game. The first thing my TiVo picked up when it started recording was Lou Holtz saying "Ah, everyone has a defenth". Suck it Lou.
Leg for the Lispy Lou comment. I heard that and he PO'ed me immediately. I wish they would have shown May reminding him of Bud's D after the game.
