I'll have a full breakdown on my blog (link in sig) sometime on Sunday, but I thought I'd share the basic breakdown of the ACC before I head to bed. Any W-L records that I list below are just conference records.
Atlantic
Controls destiny:
-FSU (5-0). They clinch the division with two wins, or one win plus a Clemson loss.
In contention:
-Clemson (5-1) needs two FSU losses.
-BC (3-2) could take the division if they win out and FSU and Clemson drop some games. They play FSU in two weeks. Losing that game will eliminate them.
Out of contention:
-Louisville (4-3). They can't win any of the tiebreakers with a potential 5-3 record.
-Syracuse (1-4), NC State (1-4), and Wake Forest (0-4) have more losses than FSU or Clemson could achieve.
Coastal
Controls destiny:
-Duke (3-1). Loss was to Miami.
In contention:
-Georgia Tech (4-2) needs 2 Duke losses. They are done with division games.
-Miami (3-2) needs a GT loss and a Duke loss.
-UNC (2-3) needs 2 Miami losses and a GT loss.
-UVA (2-3) needs 3 Duke losses, 2 GT losses, and a UNC loss.
-Pitt (2-3) needs 3 Duke losses, 2 GT losses, and a UVA loss.
Likely out:
-VT (1-4). In true #goacc fashion, I can't even say that the Hokies are officially out of contention, simply because it's too much work to figure out the possible scenarios and tiebreakers involved. So, we might be out, we might still have a small chance. But, a GT win against NC State next week would definitely knock us out.
