SO close. If every home crowd was like that one then Cassell immediately becomes a horror house to play in for opposing teams like Lane already is. It was loud as hell in there, so come back for a few more games this year.

I most definitely would be banned from Cassell forever for venturing into the locker room without permission (again).

Not in the locker room. The ones you were taking of the hokie tracks and painting we did recently. I heard you snapping pictures down there.

Oh, those were mostly messing around for now. I took a few more before the pitt game today to try some new things too. I'm hoping to work the team going in/out at some point, just need to figure out a good angle.

For those fans who might not have a gray hair or two blended in, we had tremendous Cassell experiences against both Duke & UNC in the 00's, against UofL & Memphis during the 80's/90's, and many other times.

We might not have the made for TV setup that Duke has with Cameron in regards to manufactured enthusiasm, but we have genuine honest excitement just waiting to erupt in Cassell on a regular basis. I can't say how ready I am to be able to see that happen every time. Or even mostly every time. It's just so fun.

Many of those teams (Deron Washington, Vasallo, Delaney, Green, etc.) also had their own "buzz" about them.

I covered the team for two years in 08 and 09 for Planet Blacksburg (after sitting courtside for two years my seats are forever sh*tty for the rest of my life) and I gotta say Sunday against the Wahoos was the first time I've seen the place that raucous since those years (and maybe the 2011 Duke game).

One thing you have to give to Greenberg was he put a competitive team on the court and really engaged fans to come out. I think Buzz will do the same AND get us dancin in two years. How could he not, you see those GIFs?
