Cool. He gets to come home. Went to high school in Northern Virginia. His dad was a great Washington Redskin.

Shoot, there goes his coaching career

Cool, another Hokie getting some valuable coaching exp, never know when you will need a good assistant. Whats Cody up to these days?

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Last I heard of him he was arrested for DUI or drunk in public or something like that I think a couple of years ago. Haven't heard anything since.

Wasn't that Cody? Not Chad?

the question was about Cody

Gah! Reading is fundamental...

Well shit! That's no good. Last time I saw him was on Bourbon street at the Sugar Bowl that never ended against Mich. I asked how his rehab was going on his knee, we chatted for a moment, and he offered to buy me a shot. Good guy.

Him, Todd Washington and Nick Sorensen are guys Beamer could bring back if we're in need of a position coach

Washington's name came up during the OL search after Grimes left, but in this article from the Washington Post, it says: "Washington already reportedly turned down a lucrative offer to become Southern Californias offensive line coach last month." so unless he's really, really loyal, doubt he'd be in our stratosphere if a position ever opened.

Could be for an OC one day, or maybe even HC waaaayy down the road.

On an unrelated note, your username is excellent.

Live for 32. Ut Prosim. Let's Go, Hokies.

Anyone know what a quality control coach does? serious question

In the case of the Redskins? Probably point out the obvious. /s

Guys, that play was of a low quality.

Quality Control guys aren't technically coaches, but have to do a lot of the grunt work that coaches do (film breakdown, data input, scheduling, meeting organization, etc.). It's a good step towards getting an assistant job one day. Also, the pay is considerably less than an assistant coach.

Go Hokies

You hate to see someone throw their career away the manner in which anyone who goes to that franchise does.
