As much as I love to hate UVA, I've held off on going after them for the lacrosse fascination. I don't know much about lacrosse, but I do believe it is legal to beat the guy with the ball over the head with your stick, so...

As a 3 year club baseball participant, club sports "do what they want" more or less.
Can confirm:
They came back and said we couldn't do a second run of this shirt though.
Normally, I'd agree... but the 'TM' in the corner means it is incredibly likely they ran this design by the licensing guys before putting it on the helmets. Those guys are big sticklers about the trademark and registered signs being on anything VT related (as they rightfully should be), and its really not something you would think of if you were just throwing something together on your own.

Three Observations:

3) The goal for the le crosse game wasn't even a "behind the head upside down fake left shoot right" kind of goal
