I would also love one of these.

No where right now. I asked a guy at the Baseball Night in Blacksburg about it. He told me that they auction off surplus (or something to that effect) near the end of the season and that I should email someone that manages equipment. The baseball team has, in my opinion, by far the best looking hats around. If you can find one let me know.

If you ask me it's bloody stupid that the school doesn't make baseball apparel available for sale. There is untapped revenue stream potential for the program and we just don't care to do it. Between the hats the team wears and the jerseys themselves, people would buy if we just made them available for sale.

There are lots of untapped revenue streams at this school. Off the top of my head other than baseball caps/jerseys: Hokie Stone plaque in Lane, hockey sweaters, basketball jerseys, soccer jerseys, Dell Curry jerseys, O&M shoes, the basketball warmups, broad rim bucket hats in maroon or orange, the winter hat selection is terrible

Give Whit adequate time, and he will address those revenue streams. They're just further down the priority list than the larger actions. Whit has given every indication he understands, something his predecessor actively fought to avoid.

When you refer to the "Hokie Stone plaque" in lane which one do you mean? I was given a gift of a piece of Hokie stone the same size with the motto engraved on a metal sheet to hand next to it like it does in the tunnel.

Wet stuff on the red stuff.

I'm talking about the one in the tunnel, I haven't found anywhere that sells replicas

Clearly a play on this one:

I've never been able to find a soccer jersey online which sucks because they're the most comfortable to wear. I'll wear a football jersey game day or an O's jersey if I'm going to a game, but I could wear a soccer jersey all day every day. I think I have around 20 in my closet, but no Hokies in the lineup.

Really wish that batting practice jersey was in stock. Can't go wrong at $18...

No joke. I guess the baseball stuff doesn't move like the football stuff so it's really cheap.

I saw a guy wearing a similar hat yesterday in Fairfax. The hat was the same except it had the Fighting Gobbler on the front instead of Hokie bird.

Pour some Beer on it

What I really want is a cap with the logo from the batting helmet:

I do love that the baseball team basically has an "Orioles" uniform set, though.

I've loved keeping up with the baseball uniforms the past few years. There was a Padres set, the Orioles set, and then there was the 1980 Houston Astros Rainbow uniform for one game! It's so ugly it's awesome!

I think the (un)official name for those is Tequila Sunrise.

I really wanted one of those jerseys - but I've pretty much given up now.

IIRC, they auctioned them off for charity and they went for high amounts.

I did see a guy wearing a t-shirt version of the jersey in Arlington once. I was hoping there were some facsimile versions somewhere.

They had the pinstriped version that VT wore against the Yankees for sale at Campus Emporium for a while.

That was an awesome experience. I have a picture of me wearing Brian Cashman's World Series ring. That thing was huge.

I keep looking for one of these. Even a t-shirt version. Would be an awesome jersey to put in a frame!!!!

For all you Triangle Hokies, the baseball team is playing this weekend at Campbell University (45 min south of Raleigh via 55 and 401) on Saturday at 3:30 and sometime Sunday and Monday. It's a nice little ballpark and while it'll be cold, it should be a good game (Campbell could probably beat at least half the ACC).

Yes,that's the Hokie Bird riding a camel. Why'd you ask?
