Ran across this yesterday afternoon and thought it would be a good topic for us. What are your thoughts on the top 10?
VT made honorable mention. In a few years (barring CFBs retirement) I think we will be considered top 10.

UCLA should get more votes then they got. With all the attention on Basketball (who is in the sweet 16), Mora has completely stolen the limelight from USC and this is with piss poor football accommendations compared to other teams around them.
Arizona is looking pretty good too. (Man do I hate the Pac-10 or 12 whatever the hell they are called, mainly the refs they send to bowl games)
I hate ND, but they have a good tandem. Utah and Oregon probably deserve more credit. I think you could remove Baylor, Duke, Harvard, and Michigan to make space. They're all pretty one-dimensional as far as success.
The only list that Bobby Petrino/Rick Petino should ever make is "Top 10 coaching combos who should never be given a per diem and time to kill in Las Vegas". Or "Top 10 coaches most likely to bring a sexual harrasment lawsuit against the University in the next 4 years".
Michigan State is solid, ditto OSU. Michigan, is all hope and speculation.
Yep, believe it or not but Harbaugh has a lot of catching up to do to reach the level of success that Beilein has had at Michigan.

While it may only be his first year at Michigan, Harbaugh has been successful at every single place he has coached. FCS, FBS, NFL, everywhere. Dude can coach. The only difference between Michigan and Stanford is he now has more tradition, more resources, a younger/richer fan base, and more toys to play with. There are absolutely zero indications that he won't be wildly successful there. That said, the chub-chub he replaced seemed to be more interested in hitting the snack bar than actually building a successful program, so it might take Jim a couple years to get things rolling.
If you haven't noticed, I'm a quite a Harbaugh fan.
I'm still pissed about the whole Orange Bowl thing. But even I can't deny he is one badass coach.
I wasn't super happy about it (thanks, Stanford. Way to suck for 2 decades and then get good once I leave. Jerks.), but it's impossible to not respect his coaching abilities. Still, a good friend of my dad's is a journalist back in the Bay Area and has all kinds of awesome Harbaugh stories from his time at Stanford and SF. Dude's definitely a little crazy.
I've wondered (don't take this the wrong way Hokiedom) what it would be like to merge the badassery of Harbaugh, the badassery of Foster, and the blue collar ethic of Tech. That I think, would be out-of-the-brain effin scary. Just a thought.
The thought has crossed my mind on more than one occasion. If he ever left Michigan after Beamer retires, he'd hear me all the way from Blacksburg clamoring for him to come to Tech.

How the nuts is UNC ahead of us? Granted it's only honorable mention anyways, but since when has Fedora been considered a good coach? He hasn't done squat with that program. I certainly understand Roy Williams, but come on...this seems very tilted towards the roundball.
It's shooty hoops season. Shooty hoops will be fresher on people's minds and therefore have that tilt you mentioned.
