You know... for a people trying to overcome generations of jokes made at their expense, you'd think they'd see the folly in publicizing this new sport.

it might amaze you how incredibly insular the whole Polish joke thing is to USA. I remember those jokes from childhood and there isn't a single other country, besides maybe Canada, that I have found have any jokes about Polish people and intelligence.

Anyway, has nothing to do with how cool this sport looks. I started dragon boat racing when I moved to China and loved it. This looks like a lot of fun.

All snark aside, it does look seriously fun. Never heard of dragon boat racing.

dragon boat racing is brutal in the ocean. so much fun though

That looks exhausting. I could definitely have seen myself doing that sort of thing back in the day, but now I'm afraid I'd spill my scotch.

Don't the Polish jokes have roots in the Aryan eugenics / master race PR program? Never mind what set of mathematicians broke Enigma...

I half expected them to put their pattles on opposing sides and just spin the thing in a circle

I feel like this was invented by some drunk guys facing the wrong way in a canoe.

Wait.....the Polish have a boat that actually floats?

So, Oars of War?

Tug of Oar is what I heard it called.

But there is no tugging....

Row of War?
