Wonder if they are going to do autographs this year, the line was crazy long for Mike's sessions a few years back.
They did a Macho Harris, Brandon Flowers, D-Hall session at the bookstore one year (that is showing some age).
I remember two years ago they had Kam, DW4, and Tyrod signing autographs. My dad and I both grabbed like three footballs before the guard at the back of the line told us it was something like $90/person just to get in line.
Damn, that sucks. They charged $20 for all 3 to sign a poster that had them in their NFL uniforms and Macho in the middle still in his VT one. Can't fault the players for trying to make some extra coin but damn.
We went the year they had Randall, MV7 and Tyrod. However much it cost the money was going to Bud's foundation. Marcus was standing behind the table and seemed genuinely surprised when my buddy asked him to sign his football that the other three had signed.

a) Mike calls Beamer to say he will come down but will be bringing his dumbass brother. Beamer reluctantly agrees.
b) Marcus calls Beamer, as I assume he does every year, to ask if he can come and Beamer says: "Only if Mike comes with you to keep your dumbass in check." Mike finally agrees to come.

I think the kicker shanked it pretty badly trying to aim around Kam if I remember correctly. Regardless, a player can't touch the kicker on a FG even if the kick is blocked.

Besides the Spring Game, there are 2 other VT football related events you can enjoy in town this weekend.
Former Hokie and NFL wide receiver David Clowney is throwing his 3rd Annual David Clowney Foundation VT Bowl-A-Thon at the NRV Superbowl in Christiansburg on Friday night. I went last year and had a great time and was able to bowl with both Luther Maddy and Kyshoen Jarrett and talked to quite a few former players including Tyrod Taylor. I'm not sure who's on the line-up this year.
Also, following the Spring Game, Coach Bud Foster will be holding his annual Lunch Pail Defense Spring Pail Party in the South Endzone. Coach Foster and former players will be there to talk about VT football and sign autographs.
Proceeds from both events will be donated to their respective charities and I believe both will allow walk-up sales though I would encourage you to purchase in advance just in case.
Just wanted to pass this on to fellow Hokie fans who might be interested.

There are plenty of ways to fly but if you want a private jet it goes for about $3,000 an hour. Cost of a flight from seattle would run $25,000. Why should Tech spend 50k to fly him down. If we're sending the school jet that requires two empty flights, there and back. That's Beamer's bonus for leading the school to the ACC champion
I'm disappointed for someone that makes millions wanting the school or its biggest supporters to pay for a private flight.
