Michael Brewer tweeted the phenominal photo above of a putt putt outing with his offensive line. I'm sharing this for three reasons:
- Taco Bell aficionado and Virginia Tech offensive lineman Wyatt Teller's Stallone-esque (thanks for that line Koma) outfit. Tech's lining up Rambo at right guard.
- It's friday, and we should all leave on a happy note, not news of a recruiting decommitment.
- Brewer wants to know, "Who's going to take home the W?" Handicap the field in the comments for the Hokies starting quarterback.

I am... the warrior....
Teller's bandana game is deluxe.
Can Brewer see over that massive O-line? I have a new respect for that challenge!
As always, a winner is you
Anybody know who Mike Muir is? He looks like Mike Muir circa 1983.
Brian Bosworth is a mean dude!
Protect my QB, sure.
Be happy when I open the door to meet my daughters date and see this dude, not so much.
Before:

After:

Nobody tells Wyatt Teller to fix his divots, nobody.
Grounds crew after Wyatt plays.
Only Teller has divots in minigolf
I wonder what Motley's crüe looks like.
Looks like Teller is going for "The Boz" look.
...Hopefully without the steroids and sense of entitlement.
Yes! I couldn't place it for a while but this is it. The Boz
College!......... Take me with you.....
I'm afraid to bet that anyone other than Teller will win.
This can only mean they'll be playing even more cohesively in the fall
Wyatt Teller.
That is all.
Brewer looks like a cool hang.
I'll just leave this here.
Wyatt, hit me up. I'll take you to Taco Bell for our first date. You can eat beefy fritos burritos until your heart's content. Then we'll go to IHOP for dessert.
Is this weird? The fact that your avatar is Sam Rogers makes me think this is weird.
I'm pretty sure Sam and Wyatt have to have man crushes on each other.
Edit: grammar
Don't get me wrong, they're both beautiful men. I wouldn't blame them in the slightest. It'd just be a surprise is all... not least of which to Sam's girlfriend.
Get this man some of the spiked shoulder pads from the Legion of Doom.
I'm definitely a woman, so it's not as weird as y'all want it to be. Promise.
Ha! No, I figured you were the fairer sex from the OP. I was saying Teller himself looks like the next generation of Hawk or Animal.
WHHHHAAAAT A RUSH!
Legs for username
Hello, inverse me!!
More Teller doing Teller things:
Rag doll?
JCC be all like "FLYING KNEE TO THE CHEST...OF DEATH!!!"
and Wyatt's just like "HUGS!!!!"
God: "Here you go, Wyatt. Want me to put him behind the line of scrimmage?"
Wyatt: "Nah, just toss him down, I'll catch him"
It would have been great if ESPN3 had shown this when it happened, hell maybe even have shown the TD he scored.
that's asking too much from ESPN for a non $e school
Serious question.... Is it against the rules in Football to have a lineman physically launch the ball carrier across the line of scrimmage? I'm picturing Wyatt place holding for a field goal try at the goal line then launching Santamaria on the fake after he picks up the football.
Serious answer: Yes it's against the rules (unless you're Reggie Bush at USC). It's fittingly called "helping/aiding the runner". I could be wrong but I think it has similar penalty enforcement to offensive holding.
And yet, all the time I see OL pushing the pile forward when a running play stalls out. I was taught that was illegal too but it gets called about as often as traveling in basketball.
It is almost never called these days generally because when it happens, a lot of the time the lineman is pushing one or more defenders that are attempting to tackle the ball carrier. Linemen wait until they see forward momentum start to wane, and then they "throw a block" (i.e. push the pile toward the end zone.
My guess is if you saw a lineman straight up pushing a ball carrier toward the end zone like a battering ram with no defenders around, you'd see a flag. But the way the game is officiated today, so long as defenders are engaged in trying to tackle the ball carrier, O linemen are allowed to enter the scrum.
clearly as the annoucers stated that was ALL Bucky
A year or two ago they changed the rule, removing the "pushing" part. Pulling and I assume launching are still very much illegal.
*edit* random tangent: your bit at the end reminded me of one of my biggest pet peeves: announcers declaring any pile of bodies is a "rugby scrum." Is isn't. A scrum is ordered and directed, not just any pile of guys fighting for the ball. Most of what announcers say is a scrum is actually closer to what's called a maul (much more awesome name too).
*steps off soapbox*
Upsie daisy! Upsie DAISY! Who's a big boy? You're a big boy, yes you are!
This is definitely an evolutionary play based on the fake heart attack punt from last year. Offensive lineman throws running back in the air, while QB throws a wide receiver screen.
I was able to get additional video. shows the secret of Wyatt's pancake technique
