I'm a day late on the uptake here, but yesterday Bleacher Report released their top 10 pass-rushing duos going into the 2015 season, and the Hokies definitely received some love. Dadi Lhomme Nicolas and Ken Ekanem are ranked no. 1 in the land (per Bleacher Report's CFB lead writer, Ben Kercheval), and deservedly so. It's also worth noting that anOSU's dynamic duo of Joey Bosa and Darron Lee were ranked only fourth on the list, so this should speak volumes about the performance of both Dadi and Ken. Seriously, most experts out there are picking Bosa to be the number one overall pick in the 2016 draft, so this is pretty impressive to say the least.

Yeah, that's how it appears on hokiesports so apparently he's going by his middle name his final year.
It's his grandfather's name, who he came to know about over winter break IIRC. He decided to add it before spring practice.
On a side note, a lot of these aren't really duos; more of one great pass rusher and another decent player on the d-line. Anyway, yeah, they (and the entire d-line) should be great this year provided they stay healthy.
Agreed about the part of one great pass rusher and another starter. Still, when I was looking at the VT Football section on BR's app on my phone I was thinking: "Dadi and Ken better be pretty high on this list." Had no idea they'd end up being number 1.
Yeah, I think it just reveals how unique it is to have two potentially elite defensive ends. There are generally only a couple each year if that.

not to worry (as if you were)...timecop has at least 8 more "QBs" waiting in the wings. part of the master plan to get himself fired. in all honesty, though after watching some of the hoos last year, it always seemed like Johns was the better QB, especially the UCLA game. so it took London an entire year and a spring to figure out who the better QB is? yep, seems about right, if not quick by his standards

40 QB hurries is ridiculous (as in, ridiculously good). The next highest total on that list is 17 by Baylor.
According to CFB Stats the Hokies had 94 QB hurries in 2014. That's a lot of pressure.
I looked at the stats for some of the other top defensive teams and none even came close (Clemson for example, had 39). Supposedly teams keep their own tally for this stat and the website just compiles... so TIFWIW.
Begs the question though, with all that pressure and proximity, why not more sacks?
