Just got back from the 4th annual Manhattan Hokies Bud Foster Meet & Greet event. It was held at Ainsworth Park Restaurant in NYC. Awesome event! Met a lot of great Hokies from the area and Bud was all fired up about the OSU game. Also mentioned that he believes Lawson will play and they will have packages for him. Anybody from TKP also attend?

No, but wondering why we have a meet and greet ALL the way up in NYC? I guess to build relationships with donors?
Exactly. Hokies who graduate and get jobs in NYC have the coin that the athletic department wants.
This. It is all about networking and getting the $$.
Do they invite local HS coaches to these events to meet the coaches? It would make sense to tackle donors and inroads for recruiting at the same time.
The same reason many Hokie Club and Alumni chapters have events, to raise money and awareness. We have ours this weekend in Myrtle Beach and Coach Gray will be there.
With his networking and football skills, Bud Foster would make a great hokie head coach one day.
