Not to beat a dead horse...

But looks like someone has re-opened their football site to the general public *cough cough*...No word if he's allowing streaming from his ESPN account.

Not that I know the guy, but sounds to me that he wasn't getting enough hits / ad revenue by limiting it to just his "friends". This re-opening is probably a way to get more $$$ for him. That being said, everything he has is LINKED from youtube! Why bother going to his site when you can just search, say, "Virginia Tech vs Tennessee 2009 highlights" and youtube will have it there for you!?

But seriously, I'm curious if he correctly applies his #sauces

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

I'm not going to freak out.

I read somewhere he had taken a job on West coast, was looking for someone else to run his site. True or not, I don't know.

Because of the time commitment with the job or they just don't have internet on the west coast?

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

Ha! I assumed he had other fish to fry. :-)

Five star get after it 100 percent Juice Key-Playing. MAN

I'll just say I still appreciate the guy. Not saying I don't think he was completely in the wrong a while back. However, I am not going to write him off because he had it out with Bill and showed poor charactor in a situation. Wounldn't be the first guy. I don't have cable, and don't live in south west VA, and it is because of him that I have been able to keep up with a game on Saturday. I don't have to choose sides. I appreciate the guy.

Quite with your rational, adult words and shit. Seriously Though, being in Germany, he was a godsend for providing his Comcast ESPN account info so people like me could watch the games. Hope someone else can hook it up this year.

Yep. And he is one of the reasons I got hooked to this site. I used to check on game days for his post with his live stream link and while I was waiting I would read the articles and comments and slowly became addicted.

Seeing as I'm in the video production field, I will put my foot down and say it's not legal or moral to stream secure broadcastings for free. Aka, piracy is bad.........

But maybe I'd be willing/able to help out. I just don't know how he set it up to restrict streaming from his account only to ESPN. Nor do I even know if I can swing it. Not trying to get busted, you know.

Party Positive.

You know what they say, "You start off stealing songs broadcast streams and then you're robbing liquor stores, and selling crack, and running over school kids with your car."

I appreciate him, too. And not just for his links, either. When my daughter was in Blacksburg for a short time looking for a job, he took the time to help. He doesn't know me, or her, at all. I kinda understand the whole blow up on here, but I didn't have a dog in the fight so I never commented. But shit happens. It isn't a life sentence. Nice to see people coming forward in support, instead of reveling in piling on.

Phreak, if you are out there, you are still, "the man" to me. Good luck in the future.

A picture is worth a thousand words. A gif is worth a million.

One man's junk....

Should stay in his pants

This is actually the single least horse-beaty topic I thought we'd encounter here.

When Beamer retires next year who do you think will replace him? I'm guessing Rich Rod

"We were at the pinnacle, and we did it for years," Foster says. He pauses, nods, takes a deep breath. "And I did it with the best guy in the business."

Looks like he's saying "Fan of a RICH!"

I strongly dislike this man. I hope he encounters a truck full of horse manure in a mildly violent fashion.

Would you like Prys with that?

I assumed this involved the poor horse Sergio Render was pictured on.

Can we all just stop making *cough cough* jokes and just leave this well alone? I, for one, have ALWAYS watched the highlight vids on phreak's site and will continue to do so regardless of how anyone on this site and/or twitter feels about him because I love watching Virginia Tech football. So thanks to Phreak for opening it back up as we get closer to the season and need little doses of past VT football.

"Now Miami wants to talk about it." *Cue Enter Sandman*

Are cough cough jokes a thing? Let me give this a try.

A coffin chases a man down the street. The man closes his door and locks it, but the coffin keeps coming. He hides in the bathroom, but it isn't safe there either. He decides to throw something, but all he can find is a bottle of cough syrup. He splashes it on the coffin and the coffin stops.

My uncle told me this joke years ago and at the time I had NO idea what the hell he had just said

"The Big Ten is always using excuses to cancel games with us. First Wisconsin. Then Wisconsin. After that, Wisconsin. The subsequent cancellation with Wisconsin comes to mind too. Now Penn State. What's next? Wisconsin?" -HorseOnATreadmill

Feel free to be pro (or against) whatever you'd like. I'm just posting a topic of interest of other people who may have been caught up in this particular shyte show.

...and my point is, if you like watching Tech Football, youtube is your friend; that's all he links from anyways!

I said all I had to say the last time this topic came up.

At Virginia Tech we don't beat our horses, we make them into internet sensations. And they never die, they live on for eternity, always chasing that ever elusive carrot at the end of the treadmill...

And there's this horse incident too...

That horse looks very much alive.

The Cavalier that was riding it is what's in question.

Smartest horse there is.

I'll go on record as an appreciative Hokie for his site. I don't know what I'd do without it during the long months of the offseason.

When I need a fix, I watch whatever I have time for.

A for the pissing match, I just want to stay out of it.

I prefer to talk/watch football, which is my distraction from the real world.
