[Mark Umansky]
I don't know why Wyatt Teller is holding a meat tenderizer, but he is. This is the most important question for TKP to answer during media availability this week. Mark Umansky snapped the photo yesterday during Virginia Tech's 42-3 win over Furman. The rest of Mark's gallery is on TKP's photo website.
Wyatt also served up a batch of pancakes for brunch.

I hope this becomes the OLine equivalent of the lunch pail.
My first thought as well. This photo is amazing. I don't even want the context, any longer. Just let it stand on its own.
That is exactly what it is. It was Conte's idea for a way to recognize the OL players who were excelling.
The nerd in me wants to Photoshop Gandalf's staff into his hand and caption it "you shall have time to pass". Too bad I suck at Photoshop.
Dork magic lives
I think a meat tenderizer in there seems like a photoshop enough to start!
Looks like he beat up Thor and stole his hammer.
He heard about the gold watch...
I LOL'd
Cool.
What was that about? I saw the flash of it during the OSU game but didn't catch the context.
He wore it because it was "His time to shine"
Thanks!
It makes sense, but also could have been accomplished with a chrome-finish laser pointer. Y'know, cuz he's also very focused.
time to shine was the key part :)
A meat tenderizer to "soften up the defensive line". Where's the iron spatula for the "pancakes"?
What do you do with a meat tenderizer? You pound and pound.
until it's flat.
Can we photoshop the mullet back in? That mullet flowing with the cape would be epic.
Fully dipped and tenderized.
Dork Magic 2.0
How tough is Teller?
That tenderizer is what he cuts his hair with.
Brushes his teeth
With steel wool.
I'm not sure this phrase has ever been written or uttered, but man that guy looks weird without a mullet.
OT: Speaking of mullets. Did anyone else notice that CFB had his dyed yesterday?
Remember how we thought he was second team?
That's an industrial sized tenderizer, too. Never seen one that size. Meat that size I'd still be shootin'!
Someone should tell Wyatt that it's inappropriate to hold your meat tenderizer out in public like that, although I don't know if anyone has the courage to tell him.
This is Wyatt Teller

From Searels: Augie Conte came up with that and all the OL compete for it. They award it to one of their own by the way they practice each week.
In the gifs, it is almost like Teller is just sitting there and it hits him "Bulldozer engaged" and he just wrecks that guy.
Guys, I finally figured it out!
I think the two pictures have completely different rolls: Felix "I can fix it!"; Teller "I can pancake it"
I kinda wish he had this big spatula to flip dem pancakes! Kinda looks like, "coach this isn't a spatula, pancakes are ready to be served" ok ok I'm done
Ok boys we have had the lunch pail for a good long time. Now the meat tenderizer. What else?
Special Teams needs an A-10 Warthog. DBU needs to cage a Japanese Hornet. Punters and kickers an ICBM. Not that funny but I will post anyway.
DBU needs something, but not one of those bad Japanese Hornets. Those things are too scary to have around, even caged. I used to mow a lot of acres for a "cow pasture" par three golf course, and in the late summer, those guys would come out hunting. They hung around the areas on the edge of where I was mowing, and one evening I stopped counting at a hundred and got so uneasy I put the mower away. Spooooky bugs, they'd just hang there in the air waiting for something to kill. Well, maybe on second thought they might be perfect for DBU, but I'm not gonna be the one to catch and cage one. I'll leave that to Sam.
How about just a little wood block with "VT" engraved into it on one side and "D" on the other. Whoever owns this would "own D-Block."
