Darius Redman and Donovan Riley are buying meals for other people, as random acts of kindness. What an outstanding example of class and service by these young men. Props to them for exemplifying Ut Prosim. They are the next two in a long line of Hokies doing good things.

Agreed. And I'll abstain from any more discussion on why medicine is expensive, or anything else that stinks of class warfare, because I like to enjoy TKP just as it is.
I hesitated to post that comment because it bordered on politics which is against the guidelines if I'm not mistaken. I will not say one way or the other what my view on the matter is. Looking at it completely objectively though, there was an action (raising the price of a pill) and a very strong and visual reaction (public outcry). That particular reaction is what got this story into the news. That particular reaction rarely occurs in cases of charity (that I'm aware of...)
Similarly, you could look at football players' actions off the field. Some players get in trouble and the general public crucifies them. Some players lay low and stay out of trouble. Some players give back as much as they can and it's celebrated albeit on a much smaller scale than the crucifixions of the trouble-makers. I think this can be said for just about any group of people regardless of race, age, gender, financial or social status, occupation, etc etc. I don't need (or really want) to say anything more on the topic.

but really is a good thing what they are doing. there are a lot of really good kids that come through VT and kids that really make changes in the community and give back. I think it starts at the top. just another example of how "THIS IS HOME" really is a more than just a saying.
Really great story. However, they can pay for someone's meal and it's a good deed. If I was next in line and wanted to pay for their meal it becomes an NCAA violation.
