Stroman is a young player who was asked to be in single coverage all day on an off day. I get it. He'll be fine. But when it clearly wasn't his day? How come Bud didn't turn to the veteran to come in and stop it??

He had a sprained knee, I don't think he practiced this week, and was a gametime decision
Stroman wasn't just bad in 1 on 1 man coverage. He was bad in zone coverage and didn't tackle well.
Bud also mentioned in the postgame interview that Edmunds had practiced all week at corner in place of Fuller, but then didn't see the field at corner during the game

The HC lets his position coaches coach their positions. TG clearly has a reason for why he did what he did. It just shows the coaching faith FB has in his coaches, sometimes it doesn't work very well.
Seems like an odd dig. I know Bud is the D coordinator, but I believe Gray has earned his stripes enough to trust his unit and make the calls. Wonder if that should have been kept in house.
And people think "loyalty" is the ONLY reason Bud Foster hasn't accepted a head coaching job at a top flight program...
Riley played today, several plays, was not targeted
Probably was not targeted because he had his dude covered.
That's generally why that happens
And hearing that a DB wasn't attacked much during the game is something I like to hear almost as much as I enjoy hearing about picks because it means they're p*wning the receivers.

This ^^^ is what I thought should've happened in the 1st place during/after last season.
Wasn't he recruited as a WR anyway? Not sure why he was moved.. He clearly doesn't have the natural instinct in coverage.
Kyle Fuller and Antone Exum also had games early in their career where they struggled mightily and got torched. Stroman will be fine at CB. It's a learning experience.
Not like Stroman. AND correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't Kyle and Daycare already DBs when they came to Tech?? Stroman is a receiver. A FUCKING RECEIVER! Should've kept him there because we sure as shit need the damn depth.
Stroman was a dual threat quarterback, recruited as an athlete. Getting to work with Torrian and Bud is one of the reasons he came to Tech
The biggest example of this was Jayron Hosley. He was picked on relentlessly as a back up his first year and I thought he had no hope of being a decent DB. He ended up ok.
On a side note I had a similar opinion of Erick Green his freshman (and sophmore?) year and he ended up being pretty good too.
Hosely got picked on because Roc Carmichel was the DB on the other side.
