Virginia Tech released its unofficial depth chart Monday afternoon and there are a few minor changes. Travon McMillian is listed as the No. 1 tailback. J.C. Coleman OR Trey Edmunds are the No. 2 options. Brenden Moltey OR Michael Brewer are the quarterbacks at the top of the depth chart. Freshman Jahque Alleyne is Brandon Facyson's backup at LCB. Alleyne was previously listed as a free safety.

Surprised at Alleyne's movement up the depth chart, especially with the depth at corner. Whatever happened to Duwayne Johnson?
They prepped the Rock for this role when he was in camp, but Alleyne didn't show up until classes started. It seems that he was the better player once they were both here. Rock is redshirting.
The biggest question in my mind is, again, who will be the QB this week. Will Brewer be cleared to play finally or are we just going to list him as probable all week and not tell anyone his official status to force Miami to prepare for both QBs? It worked for OSU against us and it worked for us last week.
At this point, I'm not even worried. If Brewer is the better option, then I'd say we're in reasonably good shape.
Would still like for Lawson to beat Miami, though.
Hopefully after this season he'll have 3 more wins over Miami in his VT career
