A 25 year old woman drove her car at high speed into the crowd at the end of Oklahoma State's Homecoming parade.
So far there are 3 confirmed fatalities and at least 10 others injured. She was arrested at the scene for DUI.
NOTHING IS IMPORTANT ENOUGH FOR YOU TO DRIVE AFTER DRINKING

It's a high-speed car plowing through a crowd.
There is no way a car should be driving at that speed even NEAR a crowd like that. She must have been hitting the gas instead of the brakes.
She broke through the police barricade and then hit a police motorcycle, that is the loud bang you hear in the video, then drove into he parade route and crowd.
I knew I was going to regret watching it and I did, disturbing stuff.
was it determined that she was drinking? DUI could be anything
just horrible. there is a certain terror in logging into twitter where you get that news the instant it happens, instead of perhaps being prepared and ready for it by watching the evening news
I'll be straight up honest here and possibly suffer the consequences but, that looks like more than DUI.
To do that, you have to be nearly incapacitated to be running that fast, that far through a barrier, motorcycle and then crowd.
On the gas, instead of the brake perhaps?

Mental illness may be a factor in this horrific tragedy.
In my book, drinking and driving is a sign of a mental illness. There's no excuse for it and you need serious help if you do it even once.
While I agree, a little more context here:
The mental illness claim comes from her lawyer, and some comments made by her family that they had been bothered by her behavior recently. The lawyer further claims that there was no evidence of drugs or alcohol in her system. Whether or not that's true remains to be seen, but this is apparently their legal defense at this point.
