From the twitterverse: Duke is the first team to win back-to-back games in Lane Stadium since 2013, when Virginia Tech did it.

Brutal.

Ouch

We put the K in Kwality

Pretty sad that it's a feat that VT can't manage.

Saw this on Reddit and my answer is still the same

I'm dead inside.

I've said this before.

I'm not comfortably numb yet, so it still hurts.

ECU is the next team that gets to try to win back to back in Lane! *Ducks*

No, just no. Shit I'm sad.

That comment is just WRONG.

but probably also right....which gives me the sadz

Onward and upward

Stop.

Just stop.

Onward and upward

IF we manage to upset UNC, and IF we have a home game before ECU next year (which we should, I can't imagine we'd open the year with them and then head to Bristol), we should have a chance to do it. But that still doesn't take any of the sting away from the idea of losing to ECU for the 3rd year in a row...

Upon further review we do open at home with Liberty. So if we IF we can beat UNC we can go back to back at Lane for the first time in 2 years. Also of note is that we've lost back to back at Lane twice in the same span. Sad face.

I'd love that.

Kills three birds with one stone:

1. Back to back wins for VT at Lane
2. helps make VT bowl eligible, and
3. potentially knocks UNC out of the ACC championship.

All of that gives VT motivation.

Glory is Forever, Let's Go Hokies!!

Ding-ding!!! Winner

The last teams to actually manage it that weren't us obviously were WVU in 82 and 84 and Miami in 82 and 92.

not helping, dude
