"Woah. You can't just go calling timeouts like that. You gotta save those, man. There are some countries that use them as currency. I can't remember which ones off the top of my head, but they're out there." - Coach FML

You did your job, Mike. They didn't hire you to win football games. Just to steal recruits from us. You did pretty well there for a while. Too bad expectations changed when you started getting the 4* and 5* guys.

I know many of the games in the last decade have been close (not 38-0*, obviously), but I see stats like this and can't help but think "we may never lose to LOLUVa again."
EDIT: LOLUVa fans probably thought the same thing going into the 1905 matchup riding an 8 game win streak.
*ironically, LOLUVa blanked Tech 38-0 in their first meeting October 5th, 1895. Gobbler fans had to deal with this for years following that game:

Damn it feels good to be a Hokie!
This one's for you, friend:
Numerology aside, is this banner an actual thing somewhere?
It's on the homepage of hokiesports.com.
4,000 days....not enough. MORE!
D'oh!
It's ok, Mike. Al Groh had his part in this as well.

I have a friend who's younger brother has NEVER seen LOLUVA posses the Cup. Now THAT'S sweet VicTory!!!
I want to get to the point where incoming college freshman weren't alive the last time UVA had the cup
What about graduating seniors?
Or their retirement.
Yes to all the above
None of my 4 boys have ever seen LOLUVA posses the cup.
Yep, my kids don't know a world where UVa has beat us and I want it to continue that way.
My #1 remaining goal for this season is to maintain possession.
10000 days would just be lovely.

wait was this the thing they found buried in that building at UVA?
No, it was a cache of Zimas that had been stockpiled when the factory closed.
Hear hear to 4,000 more!!
I want to be inducted into The Old Guard having never lost the Cup. It's what grants the Rats amnesty from their demerits each fall!
