.@DeMathaCatholic tweets that Billy Hite, the dean of #Hokies football, leaving administrative position for gig in alumni office.— David Teel (@DavidTeelatDP) July 3, 2013
So Coach Billy Hite is officially done with football at Tech. Has accepted a position in the Alumni office. Congratulations to him!— GobblerCountry.com (@gobblercountry) July 3, 2013
He should serve the #HokieNation well there, and best wishes to Coach Hite!

Good for him. Billy Hite is a class act all the way.
Billy Hite had a lot to do with me becoming a Hokie. Shame to see him leave football.
What's the deal with DeMatha getting all pissy about it and saying the "pipeline is over"?
Not like there was a pipeline in the first place.
where do you see that?
It appears that they deleted 1-2 other tweets. Wish I had copied them. Said something about "the pipeline is over/closed" since Hite was not on staff anymore.
Anybody else see them? They were up for at least an hour last night.
I can't recall getting any players from DeMatha at all. In fact, the only player on the current roster is Michael Branthover (K). Hell of a pipeline we got there. No 2013 commits came from DeMatha either.
Good riddance (I'm from a Good Counsel family).
Kendall Fuller is better than anything DeMatha has sent to Tech anyways.
As a Gonzaga alumnus, I have always disliked DeMatha what with them being our biggest and (especially seen at sporting events) most hated rival. To my knowledge though, they send more athletes to UMD than any of the VA universities, as DeMatha is a Maryland school after all.
I recall some in the early 90s. I always wondered why we DIDN'T have a pipeline, given Hite's pedigree.
jeff allen came from dematha (i know different sport but still), other than him i cant think of anybody.
Maybe now with him going back to an alumni position there it will build a pipeline
With Cavanaugh being reassigned too it's the End of an Era, but I hope it's for the best.
