Awesome move by Fowler by giving a shoutout to Coach Beamer at the beginning of his monologue. They're holding the award ceremony at the CFB Hall of Fame, Fowler told him something to the effect of "Get used to the building, you're coming back here really soon."

I tuned in because I saw the VT football twitter say Coach would be there. So far though, this feels really uncomfortable. An awards show that, let's be honest, is only a thing because shmucks like me will tune in and give ESPN more money. I kind of wish one of the players showed up in track shorts and flip flops just to tell Chris Faller he couldn't afford a suit.
But it actually would be.
Holy awkward Batman, this awards show is terrible.
Spurrier basically said he quit once they started losing.
I watched it for a bit. The award that went to the former serviceman who served in Afghanistan was very touching. It was sad to see him stand up there holding back tears acknowledging that his company had lost another member of their unit just last night due to suicide. I'm glad he has been able to cope with some of his PTSD through football.
