Virginia Tech - Princess Leia
What happens when you're a princess of a world that no longer exists? You lose some power but still have some pull. Not saying Tech was the princess of the Big East, but they were a top team in the conference. Since the move to the ACC, the Hokies have lost some power but are still one of the top Coastal teams, able to strangle Jabba with his own chain or lead a bunch of Ewoks to victory. Not to mention, Frank Beamer in hair buns would be pretty awesome. Now you're thinking of Beamer in a slave bikini aren't you?

VT should be Obi-Wan, not Clemson (which somehow gets two characters?) Clemson can be Luke, I could see that. But VT is Obi-Wan for sure, just by analogy with Beamer. Old and wise, perhaps past his prime, but always even-keeled and capable of teaching the tactics that once made him/the team great.
Bonus Beamer/Obi-Wan analogy: both stepped down at the perfect moment, to enable the next generation to be more powerful.
It could be argued that Vader was the next generation after Obi-wan. ;)
They got the UVA part right...
and ACC refs
I did not think LOLuva had a campus?
Also, as much as I like a good joke at UNC's expense, the "Kessel Run in 12 parsecs" makes sense; it's not wrong. Han was bragging about how he could shortcut near black holes in a way that no one else dared to. So he has the shortest end-to-end distance of the route.
I have never heard that explained like that. +1
I personally think the R2D2 & CP30/Duke and Wake comparison was most accurate.
Agreed, they even got the colors right.
They did a nice job on this.
FSU works as Darth Vader, I can see Clemson as Luke Skywalker, but I'm with GuitarMan, VT is Obi-Wan.
