Really have liked this recruit for awhile and saw he just posted his senior highlights. His motor and instincts in space remind me of Cody Grimm. Think he's a very underrated guy and it looks as if Maryland is getting in on recruiting him. VT needs some playmaking linebackers with good instincts on the roster.

For now on when I am having a bad day I am going to just watch these highlights. His hits, pancakes, what ever you football guru's call them are really fun to watch. 2:17-2:22 he just pushed a guy off his feet like it was no big deal. I agree we need more play making LB's! Go get'em!
Maybe because he's such a blur in his defensive highlights, but his offensive highlights really made him look short. He looks like he's 5'9" when he's playing fullback.
But he's a player. Maybe my favorite highlight was his Dwight Clark'esque catch in the back of the endzone. Very strong tackler, takes great angles, arrives in a bad move. A few too many highlights for my taste where he's using his body as a weapon, but he'll grow out of that (or be penalized out of it).

I can't agree more with what you said. My first thoughts were "huh he has a weird stride" followed by "man he seems small" followed by "he really needs to work on his tackling form." He drew quite a few penalties and seemed to bully smaller guys, but the ACC has much bigger bodies than he's used to.
I know someone else who looks 5'10" while playing fullback.
He would be an ideal whip in Foster's scheme versus pro sets and should be an ace special teams guy. I worry about his size if he ends up at mike linebacker, but you love his attitude at the football and willingness to make plays. He looks like the type of player who you find a role for, rather than pigeon holing him into an odd fit.
Dude is a wrecking ball on defense. Though, he needs to wrap up more instead of always trying to take someone's head off. He will learn.

He's a little dirty, a little nasty. If he wasn't committed to VT I'd probably hate him.

He has a real nose for the football and finishes with an attitude. The one thing that concerns me is that about half of his sacks or TFLs come because the left or right tackle don't bother to even try touching him coming off the edge which is something he won't ever see in college
