OT: DC Traffic for 2016 Snowpocalypse
I'm going to keep an eye on the traffic since it was so funny on Wednesday. I'll post updates periodically.

Hopefully traffic will be fine today, since most people were told to stay home and/or were released from work hours ago.
I hope you're right. At the same time, though, it's inevitable that stupid people will go out there thinking they can handle it and end up causing problems. Especially if they're still moving along 395 at a "surprisingly fast clip"
Oh, absolutely. No doubt people will get overconfident at some point. We're only now starting to see reduced visibility (at least here in Silver Spring, where it's still not that bad) but in the next couple of hours, anyone that didn't plan ahead will be experiencing and/or causing problems.
I can just barely see 395 from my apartment right now. The cars are still moving along at a surprisingly fast clip.
Update: Just saw a full sized passenger bus swerving down S Hayes St with 6 or so on the side of the road yet to pull off. This is going to be an exciting afternoon.
In about 30 minutes it has slowed significantly across the area. I'm expecting to see a lot of red in the next hour or so. Hopefully there aren't going to be many accidents, but I'm certain there will be some, unfortunately. Hopefully everyone here has made it to their destinations safely and plan to stay there and off the roads for the foreseeable future.
Surprisingly, there are more wrecks reporting on google maps in RVA and Hampton Roads than on the beltway.
Green is quickly disappearing. Maryland looks to be in worse shape than Virginia. I suppose that's not all that surprising. Best of luck to everyone.
Here in Norfolk it started snowing and most people left work after lunch and got jammed in horrible traffic. I stayed and got work done and now the snow is gone and I will have a four lane comfort cruise for the commute home. Now the same people who drove ratings with the false prospect of crazy snow will be able to drive ratings reporting on the accidents they caused. Dicks.
Well there's pretty much no more green but the lack of red and accidents is a really good sign. GREAT JOB DC!!! Stay safe everyone. This will be my last update for the evening. I'll update again tomorrow, just out of curiosity more than anything. Sleep tight Hokie Nation! Stay warm!! I'm enjoying a fire!
Can't wait to go driving tomorrow.
