With Deadpool opening today, I was curious if anyone has seen it yet or planning on in the next few days.
The marketing campaign for this movie has been great and Ryan Reynolds is a perfect fit for Deadpool and I think T.J. Miller is one of the funniest actors right now.
Most of the reviews seem encouraging without ruining the movie. Tons of excessive violence, but good balance of comedy, gaffs, and breaking the 4th wall with Wade poking fun at the nuances of superhero movies right now.
I know it isn't Star Wars level excitement, by a long shot, but definitely on my waiting list of movies to go see this year.
Would love to read your thoughts on it?

I am probably going to see it, but probably not opening weekend. Not a big fan of crowded Theaters. Monday and Tuesday nights are generally great nights to see movies.
Saw it last night. Exceeded the hype. Lots of references that might be a little dated or subtle for many viewers. There were moments where I was the only one in the theater laughing. TJ Miller was actually not in it as much as I'd hoped. He and Ryan Reynolds play really well off each other, and I was hoping they'd make more use of that. And there is a post credits scene, so stick around after.
Went last night and watched it in IMAX at Frank's. Totally worth it. The action is pretty awesome and if you are into comic books at all you will probably put it in your Top 5 superhero movies. A couple of jokes fell through for me but it wasn't a big deal. There were plenty of hilarious moments to make up for it. Colossus looks awesome and is a really great addition to the cinematic universe as well. Overall, it's a great experience and a truly enjoyable movie to go see. Just make sure you're ready for a lot of vulgarity as they use that R-rating to the maximum which is what they needed to do to make a great Deadpool movie.
Before someone contributes something that could spoil this one, the topic should probably get a Possible Spoiler Alert tag of some sort. I plan to see this tomorrow morning to hopefully get a less crowded theater. Wanted to do it today but it just didnt work out with a sick munchkin.
Hopefully everyone here is well-informed about the premise of this movie, but if you are not, PLEASE don't take your kids to see this. It is rated R for a reason. There's strong adult language, great amounts of violence, and nudity as well. Nobody needs to hear about you complaining after the fact about it because you didn't know ahead of time and thought this was just another superhero movie.
Working real hard to get the in-laws to come babysit on Sunday, figured this would be a nice romantic movie for the wifey since she loves "comic book" movies. She knows nothing about Deadpool other than the fact that he is a comic book character so it may backfire more that a bit but would be worth it from all the reviews I have seen. Totally stoked to see it!
You sir are going to be living dangerously if you wife expects a normal comic book movie.
She is 3 months knocked up and hating life and me anyway so...
It was PHENOMENAL!!! Nonstop laughgasms from back to front (see what I did there)! I'd have to say that was one of the most hilarious opening credit scenes EVER.
Just sayin'
LMAO! Well, he ain't lyin! Dude even managed to (SPOILER ALERT) splooge the object female of Thanos' desire (before Thanos, no less).
For all of our enjoyment
